Can you give me an example of a notification? Like when you get an email or something that notifies you when someone has posted in a thread you're following?

I don't use the function...I've done it by mistake and it makes a mess of my inbox. I believe you have to subscribe to the thread (as I'm replying to you, there's a box on the bottom left that offers "Thread Subscription" options for this thread).

I have no fucking idea if that answered your question or if I was even close but I thought I should at least give it the ole' elementary school try.

I used to get an email. I've been on forums (fora???) for many years, so I do the subscribe thing, but nil, nada, zilch, sweet fuck all, even for your reply

I just looked over your account settings and everything is as it should be in order to receive instant notifications. I can't explain why you were getting them at one point but no longer are. Smiley_emoticons_slash

This site only works halfway, search function show this , I can't click on a user name to even find what that does. Half of the forums links come up like this. Not that i'm complaining, just pointing out the forum you graciously allow me to use for free has some flaws.
