I love curry and Indian spices and had never heard of Indian pizza until I moved to San Francisco either; it might be a regional thing.
It's thick crust and kind of nan-like. The combination of ingredients tastes amazing. This is the one I order:
Homemade Paneer Cheese with fresh spinach, cilantro, garlic, ginger greenonions eggplant with our special masala sauce
I usually like thin crust pizza and I love marinara, so it didn't sound all that appealing. Once I had a slice I was hooked though.

I am still a kitchen slave raising my two grandkids. With no man around though, it is easier than the first go around. I don't feel compelled to perform quite so much. But we keep up the routine. They get cereal and a banana for breakfast while I drink my coffee. Snacks are usually a buttery bagel with jam.
I am so anal though that I stick to a seven-days-a-week food schedule. Dinner has to start with the same letter of the day. My favorite days are fast food Friday, and drive-thru Thursday, followed by Taco Bell Tuesday.

Is it much different from having raised their mother/father? I want to ask if it's fun for you but I'm not so sure raising kids is considered fun.

It is so much more relaxed. My only stressor is that I can't help feeling that Gavi and Lexi deserve better. But, I keep that to myself.
And, I don't think I throw things and cuss and have tantrums as much with the grandkids as I did with the kids.
Less stress, more fun.

The five-year-old is my GF's grandbaby but we are raising him. It is more relaxed except for the fact that both parents are trainwrecks and their intermittent attempts at parenting confuse the hell out of him and annoy us.
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

That would do way more than annoy me. I'd beat the shit out of my kid if I had to take care of their children because they couldn't be bothered until they felt like coming over once in a while to act like a parent. I wouldn't be able to deal with it. I wouldn't keep them from seeing their children, but every time they came over I'd let them know in private what sorry fucking scumbags they were.

I get my 10yr old boy to eat baby carrots, celery and broccoli with a nice low cal ranch dressing now. Just put them in a Tupperware and he eats them more than regular food. I'm beginning to think its a control thing now because he likes to put it on a paper plate himself and get his own stuff, rather than have it thrust in his face. I don't care because its less work and hassle.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

It's a process for sure. I spent my days raging against my daughter. I am so over it. Addiction is a bitch. It sucks the potential right out of you. All that matters to me now is that the kids are beyond her reach. They are legally bound to me, and only me. And so each morning we roll out of bed and have our cheerios and bananas, and act like a normal family.

For me it is family style; take what you want, and eat what you take.

I won't lie, there are times when the urge to grab one or both by the neck and just...squeeze...is sometimes overwhelming. Especially the father, whose ideas of parenting include mainly "toughening him up so he don't turn gay." Fucking asshole. In those moments I am extremely thankful for my career that has taught me to remain calm and nonreactive to the most obnoxious stimuli. It helps to remember it isn't about me, or the parents: it's about the boy and what helps him best to get through the shitty hand life has dealt him.

That actually sounds lovely, cozy like it should be in families. A cocoon of love.

My son eats cereal and when he's done it looks like a dog lapped it up. There's milk everywhere.

Yeah, well with just one saltine cracker my daughter can make enough crumbs to equal 20 saltine crackers. The trick works well with a potato chip too.

And all those women thought you were a freak in bed and now it turns out you were just broke and hungry.

The fathers aren't allowed in my house, well just the last one, the other is in heaven. I am doing this for my daughter not her fuckboy. If he wants visitation he will have to go through the courts.
