No, she is right about the Dems being stupidly crazy about Kavanaugh. He went through a qauntlet that was worse than any appointee has ever been through and was right when she said the Republicans never did that to an appointee. That poor man did not deserve the BBQ that was waiting for him through those hearings. This is what the Democrat party has come to. Ambulance chasers and spooks the lot of them. Quite a bit different than 10 yrs ago you must admit.

He's not above reproach. He has lied, more than once and under oath. He won't be confirmed & I expect his nomination to be pulled within the coming days.

It looks like Thursday's nomination vote for Kavanaugh might be delayed after all.
Republican senators Flake and Corker have publicly stated that they, like the Democrat senators, favor hearing Kavanaugh's accuser before confirmation. Republican senator Murkowski also said that she would rather delay the confirmation vote so the matter could be investigated.
Republican senator Lindsey Graham stated that he would listen to the woman's story, but it needs to be done in a timely manner so as not to delay Thursday's confirmation vote.

Christine Blasey Ford, 51, a psychology research professor from California, has come forward to tell her story. Ford said that one summer in the early 1980s when they were both in high school, Kavanaugh and a friend — both "stumbling drunk," — corralled her into a bedroom during a house party.
She said that Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed on her back and groped her over her clothes, grinding his body against hers and clumsily attempting to pull off her one-piece bathing suit and the clothing she wore over it. When she tried to scream, she said, he put his hand over her mouth which made her fear he might inadvertently kill her.
Ford said she escaped the situation when Kavanaugh's friend, who says he has no recollection of the event and has never seen Kavanaugh behave in such a manner, jumped on top of them.

Ford says that the experience traumatized her and she told her husband about Kavanaugh and their therapist about the incident in 2012. Her lawyer says she took and passed a lie detector test.
Republican spokespersons claim this is an 11 th hour obstruction tactic by the Democrats and are slamming Democrat senator Dianne Feinstein for not bringing the allegation forward when she first heard about it months ago (Feinstein said the accuser did not want to go public).
Democrats are asking how the Republicans were so quickly able to get 60 female associates of Kavanaugh to sign a letter stating that he's a great respectable guy who never behaved like that if the Republicans had no idea about the allegation in advance.
Anyway, Ford says she would now be willing to testify in front of the Congress. And, Kavanaugh, who categorically and unequivocally denies the allegation, is reportedly willing to testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee as well.

It's down to a "She" said, "He" said!
Maybe he'll take a "lie detector" test. If he doesn't, that could be damming.

This is a run-out the clock tactic. The Dems are trying to get more time before the mid terms so they can attempt to block the appointment should they take the house. I believe he will be appointed and this is just another nail in the Dems coffin. Americans can smell a smear tactic and coming from Feinstien who had a Chinese spy in her circle for quite a while would be comical if they were actually serious.

I am pleased that Senator Arlen Specter who challenged Anita Hill when Clarence Thomas was nominated for the Supreme Court isn't around to grill another innocent victim. He did quite a job adding insult to injury.

I hope after all of these years that Ford doesn't end up getting the Anita Hill treatment from some of the Republican senators if she testifies.

Why are you holding the Democrats responsible for Dr. Ford coming forward?

Can she write a prescription? Her story will fall apart as this evolves. She cannot remember anything but may write a book about it. Democrat hieroglyphics with juice it seems. I'm tellin ya it's a delay tactic. They may even come out with another story as they become more desperate. Poor Kavenaugh this is happening because they hate Trump. Oh well it should be expected.
Dr. Ford.

So, it's just been confirmed that Ford and Kavanaugh will testify in front of congress on Monday.
Their testimony will be televised.
Man I hope it's not the disgraceful shit show that surrounded Anita Hill's public testimony ahead of Clarence Thomas's confirmation.

Well if she has some actual proof or something substantial and not just hearsay then she will be fine. I'm glad it's getting done right away and not festering for weeks. But If she starts crying things might get woozy. I hope she doesn't. He needs to be cleared of any wrongdoing.

Hearsay is a second-hand account Mags.
A first-person account is therefore never hearsay.
As for your first sentence, you've been insisting that the opposite is true for over a year in regards to the Russia election interference investigation. Actually, you've also suggested that even if there is actual proof or something substantial, it still won't be true in regards to the Russia election interference investigation.

Anyway, I'm hopeful that the Republican senators will be less disrespectful and asinine with Ford than they were with Anita Hill.
There are more women in the Senate now and the Republican party has already lost a significant portion of their female voter base.
So, maybe Monday's hearing will at least be conducted with decency. Maybe.
