U really want to pick apart the Democratic Party and say they are/were Trump’s “enablers”? I by NO MEANS think the Democrats are perfect (far from—they’re flawed and they have their own extremists and special interest groups and agendas). But the Republican Party is/was Trump enablers (excluding the many that broke ranks). Everyone from McConnell who called him “personally and morally responsible” for ¹⁄₆ to those like the Georgia governor and Ted Cruz on and on who called him a narcissistic liar and more…and fucking endorsed him anyway. They bowed to the man, not the truth and even completely reversed positions they’d taken against him previously (Vance included). And they weren’t mere “critiques” of minor character flaws. Many of them called him much worse (a liar, unfit and on and on) and yet they came back to him. 

Biden should have stuck to being a transitional president and the Democrats should have then had a normal primary and probably picked a white male to run against Trump. But they didn’t and Harris did the best she could under the circumstances.

Meh. Clinton called Trump supporters deplorables once and it was stupid on her part but she was watching a guy gaining traction who even early on was pretty deplorable. His Access Hollywood fiasco, his calls to “lock her up” in his campaign, the name calling he engaged in with his primary opponents and others…there was more that I can’t recall now but I definitely thought at the time that there was no way he’d get elected and yet he did. He’s sunk to far more lows since (and been impeached and convicted and didn’t peacefully transfer power) so if words matter, Hillary’s “deplorables” comments should be inconsequential at this point. I think Trump won the poor and middle class on the price of eggs and the wealthy because they’re hoping for tax cuts.

And I SAW people willingly admit on tv that they didn’t think a woman is capable of running the country. If you think that her gender (at minimum—combined with her race) wasn’t a factor you’re a sexist and racist denialist. I don’t know for sure that a white male would have beat Trump but you also can’t prove that her race and sex didn’t contribute to her loss.

I just heard that Pelosi has come out to say that Biden should have dropped out sooner? If so that pisses me off. He should have been the transitional president he said he’d be and not run at all but until the debate, Democrats largely fell behind him. That’s on them. They should have done more to discourage him from running again; blaming him now is low.

Biden took the poor and middle class for granted just like Clinton took the Rust Belt for granted. His comments leading up to the election were as disgusting as Trump's. "If you don't know who you're voting for then you're not black." That's the Democratic Party with the mask off. Doesn't have any real concern for racial inequality, just a lot of drum beating and pouring gasoline on the animosity that was incited. The quality of life didn't improve for poor blacks under Biden, it got worse.

As for Harris, for every person that didn't vote for her because of race and sex, four or five more would have voted for her if the Democratic Party had improved the quality of life for ordinary Americans. You're basically gaslighting people for not voting for a black woman for the sake of voting for a black woman. That's how bankrupt the Democratic Party and it's supporters are.

Does anyone remember during Obama’s first campaign when Michelle said something along the lines of “…and the U.S. could be better” and she was absolutely slammed for that comment? It was taken as a huge insult to the country at the time. IDK if I could find her exact words but I remember that often and definitely when I read “Make America Great Again” (inferring we’re horrible now and hear Trump refer to cities across the nation as being wrecked or dumps or ruined or whatever the word of the day is.

Random but that huge shift is a little baffling to me.
