It was heavy as hell, hotter than hell, but damn if it didn't make some fine bbq. Had to stir the coals with a claw hammer it was so hot. I'd mix in a little cedar every so often and just cook away, and let the aroma drift down the main street. That's pretty much what I have now but mines a charbroiler production model. Cant beat the cast Iron grills if they're properly seasoned. I seasoned mine with bacon grease and then smoked on it for a week with a mixture of hickory and mesquite from the side fire box. NOTHING sticks to that grill.

Once it's well seasoned by repeatedly cooking on it and keeping it oiled it will turn black almost like a cast iron skillet. Today was the first time I used it so it's still all shiny, but I plan on using it everyday. Beats the hell out of dirtying up my kitchen.

I want one of those Art Flame fire pits + precision grills so bad. Very effin' cool.
I don't have an extra $2,500 right now. But, if I did.........I'd buy one for the backyard.
The first few things I'd try on the grill: yakitori, asparagus spheres, eggs and bacon, grilled cheese.

My husband bought it for himself for Christmas because he said no one else was going to buy it for him. Which is true, I'm only buying him some socks.
I'm going to try yakitori and asparagus on there tonight.
I think they have smaller ones that aren't that expensive. He bought the biggest one there is which supposedly cooks for up to 80 people. I don't know who all these people are that we're going to be cooking for.

Tonight I did a chicken yakatori with scallions and baby potatoes with paprika, bacon and asparagus. Tomorrow night I'm thinking about visiting Italy. Maybe a nice swordfish with a caper butter sauce.

It just dawned on me that my husband is a fucking asshole ( for other reasons than usual) he knew I'd get all exited about this and start cooking up all kinds of shit.

That looks effin' delicious (and like enough food for a small army). How did the yakatori and asparagus turn out?

I haven't used it in a while because my husband went on a stupid vegan diet. Mike Tyson did it and lost 30 lbs. I've been mostly cooking bean and vegetable soups for dinner. I don't really miss eating meat all the time either, but I cant do without seafood. I'm going to grill some clams tommorrow. I'm talking about real clams MS, not vaginas.
