I see that Nancy Pelosi is trying to wrap herself into the constitution that she has no clue about, but given the other things that she erroneously espoused I wish the Democrat Reps the best of luck proving anything they have "wished" for.

Now time has to be taken to get Shifs phone conversations and bring in some witnesses to go over this thing. Biden will have to be called along with his son and many actors in the hall of Reps will also have to be addressed but, thats for another day.

She cherry picked phrases from it skipping full sentences Most politicians do and most do not know history their stupid or just don't care but if you want to only use the constitution when it fits your agenda there is no substitute for the real thing. That drives me nuts about any Washington Dick.

The thing is now all witnesses and people involved will get dragged along. The one accomplishment the House has done.

Nancy Pelosi knows the Constitution quite well, as demonstrated repeatedly during her 40 years of government service.  

And, it's certainly not 'cherry picking' to cite only the clauses of the Constitution that apply to the situation at hand.  It's just common sense and appropriate.   

I don't think that's reasonably debatable, even if one dislikes Pelosi and disagrees with her application of the Constitution in this specific impeachment case.

Anyway, it doesn't appear that Pelosi or anyone else expects the Republican-majority Senate to remove President Trump from office if the House impeaches him.  

So, whether House impeachment of Trump, upon conclusion of the established process and fact-finding, would eventually benefit or hurt Democratic politicians more is definitely debatable and remains to be seen.  

Impeachment could equally fire up Democrat voters (for it) and Republican voters (against it), so convincing Independent voters ahead of the 2020 election is likely a major goal of both political parties, I imagine.

That blue wave of 2018 is going to be a damn tsunamis in 2020. It's also pretty interesting to see the number of republicans who are choosing not to run again. I think there has been 2 more in the past 2 days alone.

I do not have the expectation that republicans in the Senate will do the right thing. Their oath to the United States of America is hidden under trump's fat doughy ass and so are all of them, Lindsey Graham is so far up there he'll never see the light of day again. Those people don't even have enough sense to be embarrassed by their ridiculous bullshit.

Declining to remove trump after being presented with all the evidence is going to make for some great campaign ads.
