THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY
I feel the same way, MS.

I welcome the continued deportation of undocumented/illegal immigrant felons; Obama was known as the 'Deporter in Chief' among them.

For those who came here legally and whose visas have expired.....and those who have otherwise been in the U.S. illegally, but have no felony convictions.....I too believe immigration reform and a path to citizenship (or at least legalization) is a much better solution than mass deportation.

I don't want to see families ripped apart either. And, economically, those such adults have kept our social security pool solvent and also helped businesses in some industries stay afloat.

It bothered me that some Republicans working on more compassionate and economically-beneficial immigration reform, like Ryan and Rubio, were vilified by the extreme anti-immigrant rhetoric of the 2016 election.

I've read & heard only good things about this man but most of those being complimentary are also saying he had no choice but to accept which is more than a little fucked up. It's said he doesn't suffer a fool. *snorts* Good luck with that, mister man.

Trump and company really need to stop the fear-mongering bullshit in order to support Trump's agenda.

The murder rate is not the highest in 47 years as Trump falsely claimed publicly; not by a very long shot. There was no Bowling Green Kentucky Massacre by Iraqi terrorists, as Kellyanne Conway thrice falsely claimed to media. There was no Atlanta terrorist attack, as Sean Spicer twice told the public. And Trump's claim that something terrible happened in Sweden last night due to their immigrant in-flow is also fiction (which he's now blaming on a FOX news report he recently saw). Ignorant and easily refutable lies which are becoming global punchlines.

On a more positive note.........while ousted NSA Adviser Michael Flynn and other members of the Trump campaign are being investigated by multiple Congressional committees in regards to possible Russian collusion, President Trump secured a replacement for Flynn.

From what little I know about him, Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster is a straight-shooter with a lot of experience and he's well-respected. He's on active duty, so he reportedly could not refuse the appointment after the top two replacement candidates withdrew themselves from consideration. McMaster doesn't do drama, nor conspiracy theories, nor baseless inflammatory rhetoric -- much better for the country than Flynn, in my opinion.

Wow, Trump was right about Sweden, imagine that.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Biggie and Mags, drinking so much kool-aid that their hair is turning purple.

On Saturday, President Trump was talking about terrorism and immigration. He then said, "look what happened in Sweden last night; Sweden can you believe it". Nothing unusual happened in Sweden on Friday night, Trump was full of shit and got called out on it. It's far from the first time.

The Daily Mail article refers to a non-terrorist riot in an area of Sweden that is heavily populated by immigrants. We don't know who was involved in the vandalism that went down in that drug-bust related riot on MONDAY night, 3 days after the imaginary incident Trump claimed went down.

Sweden has crime just like everywhere else, they never claimed otherwise. They simply pointed out that Trump was wrong in his claims about an incident on Friday night and the correlation between crime rates and immigration in their country.

If Trump insisted an imaginary terrorist incident went down in immigrant-heavy San Francisco last night and some dipshits burn up a bunch of cars in Chinatown tomorrow night, it doesn't mean Trump's original bullshit becomes true, obviously.

Maggot! Sweden is not going down in flames for Godssake. They are actually doing quite well with all the immigrants they've helped and given a home to. They are nothing like the United States in regards to crime. Going down in flames. Hahahaha! Jeez Louise.

Immigrant crime has risen in Sweden 47% immigrants are raping women left and right there they have problems just take a little look into their society. Americans do not want the same no matter what the "polls" say or how many "I'm a Muslim too" protests. It's been going on quite a while and if anyone cannot see the truth shame on them. A better vetting process is needed before it happens here and Trump is promoting it. I say good for him.

Where are you getting your information, Maggot? A FOX news report based on a filmmaker's claims?

There are official crime and immigration statistics available for Sweden. They contradict the claims you're making.

I don't oppose even more extreme vetting, if it's done properly, under President Trump. That does not mean that I'm gonna turn off my brain and swallow pure bullshit when he spews it in attempt to support his plans/views.

There was no incident in Sweden on Friday night as Trump wrongly claimed. Period. And, many of the stats presented in the film cited on FOX news are skewed or just plain wrong.

I saw one of the cops interviewed who took part in that film. He's pissed. He said it's heavily edited and much of it was taken out of context because of that.

Ok Mags, go ahead and rely on unsubstantiated, edited and contested claims from a filmmaker on FOX and the Russian Tv propaganda network.

I'll rely on the officials international and Swedish officials who have been tracking and trending crime and immigration figures for decades.

You said previously that you liked FactCheck.org. Here's a summary from that source: http://www.factcheck.org/2017/02/trump-e...ish-crime/

Was the film actually edited or is it just the cops word over the filmmaker?

There are plenty of video's out there not all of them are wrong. Put your head in the sand and wait for the official Swedish government statement about their "crisis" all you want.

Almost all films are edited; sometimes the editing is done to support the filmmaker's views.

Horowitz edited the film, as is his style. Horowitz has been criticized for his gonzo style of journalism, which owes more to Michael Moore and “The Daily Show” than CNN.

In the past he has filmed interviews without permission, provoked onlookers’ reactions with outrageous stunts and edited footage to ridicule interviewees. Horowitz defends his methodology as accurate, though he admits it is “confrontational and provocative.”

On Monday, two police officers he interviewed for his Sweden documentary, in which Horowitz claimed Muslims are overrepresented among perpetrators of criminal activity, said he edited their answers manipulatively. Horowitz denied the charge and attributed their reactions to pressure from their superiors.

So, it's the cops' word against the filmakers' in the edited film.
---------------------------------

The point was that nothing Trump said on Saturday about Sweden is validated and that's a problem. Again, there was no immigrant/terrorist incident in Sweden on Friday night as Trump falsely claimed. That's indisputable and can't be successfully deflected.

The President of the U.S. stating something about an ally as fact in a highly inflammable manner based on a FOX report is irresponsible and asinine. I wish he'd stop it. But, he isn't prone to having his facts straight and owning his mistakes. It works for him with his devotees; they believe the lies, accept lame excuses and deflect and defend to the hilt. I want the president to succeed, but won't swallow blatant bullshit just because the president said it and I don't blame Sweden for striking back, especially given the much higher per-capita crime rate in the U.S.

In any case, Sweden has the same divided public view of immigration as the U.S. and the rest of Europe. There is crime in Sweden and crime by immigrants in poverty areas is higher than crime overall in Sweden. However, crime in Sweden is down from a decade ago, Sweden has always had a higher rape rate than the rest of Europe and some of it is due to how 'rape' is defined, Sweden has invoked stricter immigration laws and added crime enforcement resources over the last two years, etc...

I could post thousands of video from people all over the world making claims, Maggot. I'd consider the sources and check the facts before insisting they prove my view or my opinion is fact.

All of Europe is struggling with mass immigration from Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. They were flooded over the last few years. That's not contested and my head is not in the sand. Nobody is denying that with more immigrants comes more immigrant crime, in Sweden and anywhere else, naturally.

What's also not contested is that there was no terrorist/immigration incident in Sweden on Friday night as Trump falsely claimed. Can you pull your head out and simply admit that was a false claim, without going on about your opinion that Sweden is going up in flames in order to defend that false claim?

Trump didn't actually say there was a terrorist attack in Sweden. He said look what's happening in Sweden last night.

There shouldn't be any confusion with what the President says, but I believe him, however, that he was referencing the Fox news episode and not stating there was a terrorist attack or incident in Sweden the night before.
