Kim got it all, we got nothing. trump saluted a North Korean general, our media weren't given an opportunity to film but North Korea was and it's all over their propaganda network today.

If you helped vote them into office or failed to try and stop them from ascending to power, the blame is yours for how they fail.
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

By any chance are they the cartoons drawn by the guy who got fired yesterday? He worked for that paper for 25 years, first they muzzled him, then they fired him.

Yes. He was at odds with his editor. Normally his work might be rejected 3 times in a year. This editor recently vetoed his work 19 times.

Paul Manafort is on his way to the slammer until his trial. This comes within hours of trump saying "Manafort had nothing to do with our campaign. ... Paul Manafort worked with me for a very short period of time." Manafort was trump's campaign chairman for fucks sake.

Yesterday, New York's new attorney general announced that the state is suing the Trump Foundation, as well as Donald Trump and his children, alleging "extensive and persistent" lawbreaking.

Barbara Underwood said the charitable foundation had engaged in "unlawful political co-ordination" designed to influence the 2016 election.

The lawsuit seeks to dissolve the foundation and $2.8m (£2.1m) in restitution.

The attorney general is also seeking to bar the president and three of his adult children, Donald Jr, Eric and Ivanka, from serving on the board of any New York-based charity, "in light of misconduct and total lack of oversight".

She has referred the case to the Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Election Commission, she says.

The foundation denied the charges, calling them politically motivated.

Despite all of his legal troubles and proven lies, however, Trump is extremely popular with Republicans according to the latest Gallup polls.

Here's how his approval rating compares to other presidents at their 500 day marks.

In a poll taken just after the summit with Kim, Trump's approval rating across all political affiliations was 42%.

It's somewhat disheartening to know that so many people don't place value on the truth. If they did, they would find the daily lies intolerable. In the very narrow time frame of this morning alone he lied or mislead the American people 19 times.

I'm sure they didn't break any laws. I think Ivanka could take this opportunity to introduce a new line of jewelry to her ever increasing fashion empire.

Today..........Trump's personal attorney (well, fixer) Michael Cohen lost his bid to have a judge put a gag order on Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniels' attorney.

[Image: article-5849607-4D48C86500000578-732_308x529.jpg]
Cohen has reportedly sent vague signals this week that he's ready to cooperate with federal prosecutors. He also ditched his previous (expensive) attorneys and is seeking new representation.

The review of the documents seized in the search of his home and office has now been completed, including those that Cohen shredded with a cheap shredder (which investigators were able to piece back together).

President Trump hadn't publicly mentioned Cohen since April. Today, however, the president insisted that his former attorney's decisions won't affect him because he (Trump) hasn't done anything wrong.

This afternoon Trump told reporters, 'I always liked Michael Cohen. I haven’t spoken to Michael in a long time.' Trump also stated publicly for the first time that Cohen is not his lawyer anymore.

Cohen is facing the possibility of criminal charges for bank fraud or campaign finance violations for giving $130,000 to Daniels close enough to the 2016 election that her silence could have affected the outcome.

^ Correction/update: Cohen's attorneys have been given 10 more days to complete the review of seized/recovered documents and messages for attorney-client privilege.

Snip:

The government said it also obtained 731 pages of messages, including call logs, from applications such as WhatsApp and Signal, which encrypt data, and about 315 megabytes from a BlackBerry. The material is the most recent to be produced to Cohen’s legal team out of more than 3.7 million items taken in the FBI search of his home, hotel room and office.

The information was contained in a letter updating the judge who is overseeing the review of the seized files. Lawyers for the government on Friday detailed files that were turned over to Cohen’s team in the last two days. Both sides asked U.S. District Judge Kimba Wood to give Cohen’s legal team 10 days to review the new material.
