GIVE ME MY DAILY BREAD
#61
Your interpretation of what I posted is not what I posted, MS. But, that's your way and I'll gladly stop reading and yapping in your "My Way or the Highway" Christian thread.

MS, has something happened in your life that's made you think you should be quoting Jesus in order to atone? Did you have a close call with sexy text messages again?

So can I post in here stories about good deeds that non Christians do? Or do you not allow that bullshit in here?

Not at all... haven’t been tempted in years.

Although, we did get a dog a month and a half ago, and I’m questioning my judgement.

Just kidding... she’s great and the kids love her.

Really? That's fantastic! Why didn't you say anything? Your kids must have been over the moon!

I wasn’t sure it would last, quite frankly.

She’s 4 months old, a yellow lab/black poodle mix.

She chases balls like a lab, jumps up on people and the table like a lab, and nips like a poodle.

Since Day 1 she’s been attached to my wife like a hand to glove. My wife wasn’t ready for that, but since she’s at home, it’s a good thing.

However, and I mean this literally, she interrupts EVERYTHING, including the bedroom.

If we want action, have to put her in her kennel or outside and then she barks like crazy.

It’s been a tough 6 weeks and I’m worn out as is she.

I’m finally getting her into some training/obedience classes in the next week or so, and as she gets older, I hope she settles down and this gets better.

She’s really cute and friendly and very smart. I know there’s willful disobedience going on, but I’ve been much more patient than I thought I was capable of.

And, yes, the kids are ecstatic and that’s why we’re doing this.

It's not a nice feeling to be ignored and told you're not welcome.

Ephesians 4:32
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Listen, you’re absolutely right about forgiveness.

I’m just not interested in responding to you and HotD when you come after me.

I’d love to engage you in meaningful dialogue.

She will! She sounds like a typical puppy. I think it's awesome that you relented. All kids should have the luxury of growing up with a pet. They really do become members of the family, MS.

The best thing to do when training dogs is to use positive reinforcement rather than yelling at them. they respond better to that.

Oh and I found her a dog tag.

Already around her neck!

Yep, I’ve heard a lot of people use ‘treat’ therapy. Will have to have many, many of those on hand.

Just curious... How did we go from God to doG?

I asked him if something had happened in his life that he needed to atone for by quoting Jesus and he went on to tell me that things were great and they had gotten a dog a month or so ago. That's not verbatim but the gist of it.

That and not masturbating until I was 23. Damn Catholic mom guilt.

It is my understanding you've really made up for lost time.

I didn’t see this earlier.

Must’ve come in when I was responding to Duchess, and now it makes sense to me when you said I was ignoring you.

Anyway, by all means, post any inspirational stories you’d like.

I’d love to hear them all.

This is a gift that "Keeps Giving". At Easter just wear it as a display to everyone of the cross you carry every day in your life through out the year, that no one has the benefit of seeing.
