Anyone been to any good movies lately?
I went to see A Star is Born the first week it was realized! AWESOME! (Me and Hubs loved it better than BR)
Saw Bohemian Rhapsody and loved it!
I see Rami Malek getting an Oscar for Best Actor, Bradley Cooper for best Director and Lady Gaga for Best Actress.
BTW these are the first movies I have actually paid to see in over 10 years.

I haven't been to the movies in too long Tammy.
My niece took her mom to 'Bohemian Rhapsody' earlier this month and they both loved it. I'm a huge Freddie Mercury fan, so I really want to see the movie when it hits cable.
My older sister saw the new version of a 'Star is Born' last night and said it was great. I don't use usually like remakes too much, but it sounds like this one is worth seeing.
I really wanna see 'The Front Runner'. It details the story behind the story of the Gary Hart scandal that quashed his Presidential bid back in the 80s. I was a teenager at the time, but remember all the salacious tabloid and news coverage. It's supposed to be excellent.

What the hell does Jessica Hahn have to do with the movies we're discussing? Are you mixing up Jim Bakker's hot alleged mistress with Gary Hart's hot alleged mistress (Donna Rice)?

Didn't Hahn get a bunch of plastic surgery after she became "famous"? I vaguely remember she had some enormous boobs which is probably what BM is remembering.

I got an Epsom 660 projector that I use in the back yard by the pool in the summer sometimes. I thought the mosquitoes would go to it like a magnet but its not any different than not using it. I can use a cd, wii-fi or a usb. The kids loved it. I like sitting in my floaty with a drink and snacks along the top coping. I think I watched the latest Tarzan movie from netflix and hacksaw ridge.

That's a cool vibe Mags.
I have the perfect huge blank wall in the top half of my backyard and thought about doing something similar.
But, on the rare occasions when I have people back there, it's drunken/stoned debauchery and I didn't think people would be focused enough to make the projector investment worthwhile.
So, the closest I got was a couple of years back when Duchess and I both bought the Star Showers Christmas lights. Those were actually pretty cool. One of them still works and is going with me to Arizona.

I'm weepy and over-reflective these days, but that didn't make me cry.
She has a very nice voice and way about her though.
Her daughter is a real cutie.

Last night I watched a movie for the first time in ages.
"Battle of The Sexes", is the story of the famous tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobbie Riggs.
It was pretty good. There's some news footage from back in the day showing the lead-up to the match. It's amazing how chauvinism and homophobia was so publicly rampant then as compared to now.

Ooooo I saw promos for that! It looks good. I like his movies. I'm trying to think of the last one I saw, maybe Million Dollar Baby. It was a long time ago. Or maybe it was the cowboy one. Bah. Can't remember.

Clint Eastwood was one of my dad's favorites. We saw the first couple of Dirty Harry movies at the drive-in when I was a little. One of them had a scene with a topless stripper on a pole. I remember my older sister and I were so shocked!
Anyway, I like him as an actor and director too, though I haven't seen most of his movies.
I thought Mystic River was excellent and so was Grand Torino.
