So..I found this recipe and I'm actually sorta excited to try it. It's super simple & I think it sounds really tasty. Have any of you ever had this or something similar?
Oven Toasted Ravioli Recipe With A Parmesan Crust
- 2 – 9 oz. packages ravioli, refrigerated [url=http://amzn.to/2dJ9Cg5][/url]
- 3 eggs
- 1 tbsp. water
- 2 tbsp. milk
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups Italian bread crumbs
- cooking spray

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Set aside.
In another bowl, combine the Italian breadcrumbs with the Parmesan cheese. Dip ravioli pieces into the egg mixture first, and then coat in the bread crumb mixture. Place crusted raviolis on a baking sheet and spray them with cooking spray. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve and enjoy with marinara sauce for dipping

I've had toasted raviolis on the Olive garden appetizer sampler before. They're pretty good.
That recipe sounds good and pretty hard to fuck up.

I find that either a smoked salmon platter, cheese and fruit platter, charcuterie platter or all three depending on how many guests you have are the easiest snacks to make. You just buy the stuff, slice it and arrange it pretty on a platter. Everyone finds something they like and they're happy.

I like that there's only a few steps too. I don't do well when faced with a recipe that is several paragraphs long, I take one look and think, fuck this.

Quiche is super easy too. You just whip eggs, milk, salt and pepper together and then add shredded cheese and whatever else you'd like. Mushrooms, spinach, ham, bacon, broccoli, whatever. Then pour into a pre-made pie shell, bake and cut into little squares.
Although, one of your male guests might try to man-splain to you why real men don't eat quiche.

I need more ideas. I feel like I serve the same stuff every year. I'm going to do the raviolis and I've added crab to the seafood list.

Here are some reliable but non-creative party snack options:
--Platter of Deviled eggs
--Platter of tomato slices topped with olive oil or balsamic vinegar and a slice of mozzarella cheese
--Platter of salami, artichoke hearts, garlic-stuffed olives
--Ring of chilled prawns with sliced lemons and cocktail sauce (I just buy the frozen prawns and thaw them in the fridge the day before)
--Sheet of Tostino Pizza Rolls with a side of hot mustard -- they're still good when they get cold ( maybe not classy enough for company, but they used to be one of my favorite snacks before I gave up carbs)
--Bowls of tortilla chips with queso
--Pot of meatballs in marinara
--Crockpot with mini-wieners in barbecue sauce
--Plate of pita chips and flavored hummus

These are more creative and sound great Duchess. I'm gonna try them for a New Year's potluck.
If some of your guests don't care for very spicy bites, you can use mini sweet peppers instead of jalapenos (and leave the bacon off for vegetarians).
Ingredients: - 12 fresh jalapeño peppers or mini sweet peppers
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 12 slices bacon, cut in half
- 24 toothpicks
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400F degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper (best for clean-up) or a silicone baking mat. Place a baking rack on top of the baking sheet. Set aside.
- Cut the peppers in half lengthwise; remove seeds and center membrane. Set aside.
- Using a handheld or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic, and paprika together until combined. You could also do this by hand using a rubber spatula. Salt to taste, Spoon filling equally among all 24 jalapeño halves.
- Wrap each stuffed pepper with a half slice of bacon and stick a toothpick through the center to assure the bacon stays in place. Place each on the baking rack and bake for 25-28 minutes or until the bacon is crisp to your liking. Serve immediately. Cover leftovers and keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Make ahead tip: peppers can be stuffed and wrapped 1 day in advance. Refrigerate until ready to bake.

The meatballs in marinara sounds great and I really like the idea jalapenos wrapped in bacon & cheese. The tomato & mozzarella wreath is gorgeous! If I'm successful with that I'll post a picture. Thanks, HotD!

I make those stuffed bacon wrapped jalapenos all the time. Actually my son makes them now because hes the one who always requests them so I taught his lazy ass how to make them.

They look and sound amazing. The hotter the better, for me.
I bet they're addicting though. I don't think I could just eat one or two.
One of the most addicting party snacks for me is that damn artichoke spinach dip in a warm bread bowl. It's dangerous stuff.
