Sorry D, it's a clip from SNL on Hulu about the hypocrisy of Kelloggs to dump Michael Phelps... and you probably can't watch it without high speed internet.

Duch, it might take a second to load for you since you are on a slower connection. Just let it sit for a little while and see if it loads..

That was pretty good! I liked the part where you should tell your kids, when they ask, that you CAN smoke pot, right after you win 12 gold medals for your Country. Heh.

It says "this video can only be streamed in the United States".

So, ::dunno::

OP, that is the stupid corporations making it impossible, or harder for people outside of the USA to see USA television. You have to try to find it on another site that is not directly tied to the networks, which Hulu is.

Outside of that single issue though, Hulu is goooood!
(No more having to download shows I've missed from iTunes.)

How irritating, what every happened to the worldwide web?

I had a similar problem with the South Park website when they started streaming all the episodes for free online, I had to wait another 4 months before the episodes were available in the UK. Do US corporations not realise that we have disposable income in the rest of the world? It is in their own interests to make their shows available to a wider audience.

BBC won't allow American viewers on their website either.

I tried finding the vid on youtube before posting this, but there was only a shitty copy someone had made by filming their TV. Sorry about that.

OP, From everything I have read a lot has to do with the advertisers that have ads before the video clips. After that they just can not find a way to regulate the videos not being stolen and then shown on some foreign HOSTED site that they can not sue or legally control to take them down.

Patience and time.
It won't be too much longer when all content will be available, anytime, anywhere and cheaply.

There's no stopping that train.

oh I think it is going to be a long time before it is all completely free. there is just way to much money at stake. there will have to be successful online SERIES, with millions of people watching each week, which does not exist yet. sure there are some online success stories, but nothing like the networks yet.

I agree that times are changing, but I bet OP will not be able to see those clips on network sponsored/controlled sites for many many years.

Netflix is pretty good when you don't have (or want) cable TV. I pay ~$10/month for unlimited online viewing, including a lot of the newer tv series and movies. It's a good deal.

They're how I got to watch three seasons of Doctor Who. Some of the resolution is sucky though... might be my connection speed.

Like Liquid said it is all down to the leeches in advertising trying to squeeze a few more cents out of the consumer.
