Did you see the house explosion in Oklahoma? It was from a propane log lighter in the fire place and when the father plugged in the coffee maker the explosion leveled the whole house. Unfortunately their daughter was killed, I dont even know how the other family members managed to survive it.

LPG has no odour, naturally, the odour you smell is added to alert you that you have a leak. Unfortunately though, LPG is also heavier than air, so it sinks. If you have a leak is low, and you have an underfloor cavity or basement, quite a bit of propane can accumulate and find an ignition source before anyone is aware.
