Have you ever been put on the spot to say grace before dinner?

That always sucks, I never know what to say other than thank you jesus for this fine meal and may it heal us all from within. That's always been my goto.

Bless us oh Lord and these thy gifts which we about to receive, through Your bounty. Amen. I did that from memory so it might not be 100% accurate. It's been awhile since I said grace.

Now what are you supposed to say during the covid? I've been invited over to some holy rollers house for dinner tomorrow and have to be prepared just in case.

I usually say, "Thank you Lord for family and friends and the many blessings you have given us, may we bless others in return" or something like that. Not sure you have to add something special for Covid.

My family have gotten used to asking me to do grace since I was the one who went to bible college, but this last holiday season I was going through a particularly tough time and said I just couldn't do it due to being too emotional or something like that. So finally another relative took over thankfully.

How about, "Dear Lord, thank you for these blessings, please keep us safe during these uncertain times. Amen"

Thank you Jesus, please bless those on the frontline. And if you have time please turn all my water into wine.
