My hair has been cut, just not by a professional barber. It doesn't look bad, not bad at all, actually it looks pretty good, no one ever seems to notice, or stares.

Well I finally got my professional barber's haircut today! I'm 2 pounds lighter! hah

It was sad getting it cut in the same shop, but getting it cut by another barber!

(My regular favorite barber died during the height of the pandemic, but I could not really find out if he died
from covid-19 or heart trouble)

Forgot to add, I won't be going back to this establishment, as it seems they are trying to make up for $$$ lost due to pandemic lockdown. Before lockdown haircut was $18.
Yesterday it was "$25"!!!

That's not a bad price for a haircut. I used to go to Sports Clips and get a hair cut for $25 or more with tip.

Can you really blame them for wanting to make up for lost money, you old scrooge.

It's still a fraction of what women pay.

That's because if a man gets a bad haircut well it's just a bad haircut but if a woman gets a bad haircut it's a freaking tragedy. You pay for that.

I can see them wanting to raise their price modestly, say $18 to $20. But $25 is not a modest bump. (Like "40"% bump)
Especially since many other cut & snip places around here still range from $13 to $15!
(A woman friend went to one of those places last week and paid $15, for woman or man)

Why bother getting a cut anyway, can't you just shave it all off at home? At your age who cares?

Ideally he already invested in lots of hair gel to avoid looking like a white Don King on crack.

I have a full head of enviable hair!!! 33

And you don't know my age, so who says at what age is "who cares"?

If you act old, you'll be old!

I like my hair to be long and frizzy. One of the only siblings that still has hair. I'm a hairy guy, morning ,noon and nighty night nite. Fuck haircuts. It's anti-creative.

Yes, narcissism does transcend age, but being a skinflint negates your incredibly enviable beauty, you old goat. hah

There are 5 salons in my town and they are all booked solid. I drove to the next big city, 50 minutes away and put my name on the waiting list which was 2 hours long. I got other errands done during that time.

I am getting tired of having to make appts for every single place so far in advance.

I go to the dudes place you can drink beer and hang out after. I go every couple months because why waste money on snippy snips. I wanna see hair on the floor.

I had go to a new barber, in SNAKEland, (I HATE SNAKES) cause my favorite
one there died. It was rumored he died of covid-19, although they wouldn't admit it.

And then I had to find a new barber here in NE, cause my guy here went OOB due the pandemic.

Luckily, in talking with my friend, he recommended his barber and I went
there last week, and he did a great job! So now I have a new barber here too.

WTF
Hair Stylists dying!

I was trying to keep mine long and just go with it-but once it starts getting into 90 degree temps I just can't handle it.
