Our illustrious Governor said only Publix Supermarkets are getting the vaccine doses,
and it will be administered "by appointments only" basis!

4 weeks ago our PCP said to call back, as she did not have any supply of vaccine doses yet.

Since then, the Governor's edict!

Thanks for your response. I was curious because I just looked into it here for my boss and her pcp's office intends to make one site so their patients can drive up rather than they all converge on the Dr's office. I also received a personal email from my drugstore saying that they could give me mine when it was my turn. I live in such a small state, not even a million people, so I don't expect it to be the headache that it is in so many other states with large populations.

I'm supposed to get my second shot tomorrow but just got an e-mail saying i may have to wait until next week. i have to go to the college where the N.G. is giving the shots. The first one you have to hang out for at least 20 min to make sure you don't have an allergic reaction but the second one you just drive up and they give it to you in the car.

Why are you getting it when older, sickly and frontliners need it first? I dont expect to get it anytime soon, not that I even would.

Thanks for your response. I was curious because I just looked into it here for my boss and her pcp's office intends to make one site so their patients can drive up rather than they all converge on the Dr's office. After I was thinking about it, I wondered, is he getting a kickback from Publix?
In the beginning, he was saying that they were planning on using CVS and Walgreens pharmacies to help
administer the vaccine shots. Since CVS "alone" has "870" stores spread out all over Florida, add that to similar amount of Walgreens stores.
Now, all of a sudden, those stores are out of the equation!

I'm unsure, it looks like it will be well into Spring before I'm eligible, maybe May or longer. I don't fit any of the criteria that's required in order to get it any earlier.

I'm probably getting mine at the end of summer because with my luck, places and events will open up again but you'll need proof you were vaccinated to attend.

My county just got another supply and it was gone within 15 minutes. I guess it's similar to trying to get through to a radio show and hoping you're one of the lucky callers.

Are you getting it when it's available? I mean you already had it and didn't die so whats the point?

They don't know enough about immunity yet. People have become infected again after having had it.
