Unless it involves personal scandal or beastiality, I usually ignore unsubstantiated political gossip or rhetoric.

However, I was told (by a fairly reliable friend) that the US government is quietly "bailing out" Moderna over alleged patent infringements, they employed while developing their vaccine.  By "bailing out" I mean that the US is using taxpayer money to pay all fines and costs levied against Moderna.

Again . . . I have done no independent research and am not stating this as fact.

Just curious if anyone else is aware of this allegation and if it has legs.

Given that the government is partnered with Moderna, I think it's a no-brainer. Imagine what would pop up in discovery if it went to trial. I'd pay to see that.

Well I went and did it again, today I got the latest “variant” covid booster! Last one was “8” months ago.

I feel good that I got it, some think that they don’t work, to me they do. So .  .  .  .

Okay, here is a story.

My friend's brother died during COVID. His wife had COVID, and she was over it when she went to go visit him in the hospital, but they required her to get the vaccine. Technically because she just had COVID she should have waited 90 days before getting the vaccine.
Anyway, now she is going through stroke and other things, can barely walk. She is relatively healthy, average weight.

Its kind of fucked up. They have a son, and my friend is worried about the son now.

It was the Johnson vaccine.

(Also I am annoyed that my words get spell checked automaticaly and c o v I d gets capitalized.

Hmmm, I haven’t heard that but given “operation warp speed” and the rush and pressure on these companies to roll out and distribute their vaccines (perhaps w/out allowing them time to thoroughly patent their products), patent violations (and government involvement in resolving them after the fact) wouldn’t surprise me. The whole MMRI delivery method was new and as soon as Mederma and other companies were starting to document or claim efficacy on their vaccines, everyone was jumping on board. So patent violations in that environment? Completely understandable.

Initially I was inclined towards the J&J vaccine because it was based on older vaccines. But the efficacy rates weren’t there and it got shut down in England (I think) for a time because of bad reactions so I passed on that (and there were some indications that young men were having adverse reactions too so…even though statistically it was rare to have a bad reaction, nixed that). We all got the Pfizer vaccine. I’m pretty sure none of us have gotten boosters after the first two “required” shots (and we added a week or two in between those two shots just cuz my mother’s instinct says u should do that and not stack them up as quickly as suggested). I don’t know WHY I’ve typed this all out except to say no regrets yet. Maybe all of us (I mean huge portions of society) will die early cuz of the vaccines but…at least we can bitch about it together when we all start dropping. In the meantime, I’m not going to worry about it. I can think of about a half dozen things that will likely take me out sooner.
