Maybe it does and maybe it doesn't Sal.  People and families are not one-size-fits all, so I imagine the motive behind the death of a loved one matters to some and not to others.

Point is...........I didn't agree with Hillary Clinton when she said the motive behind the Benghazi attack didn't matter after-the-fact and I don't agree with Cannongal and you if you share Clinton's view.

I think it matters if someone kills another/others out of self defense vs. diminished capacity vs. passion vs. greed vs. evil compulsion vs. political terrorism, etc...  It certainly matters under the law. The future threat potential is not the same under all the different scenarios.

In any case, 'dead is dead' is an obvious fact.  That's not insightful or debatable.
