Doesn’t matter now since Biden unconditionally pardoned him yesterday. I gotta say, that is/was NOT a good look for Joe. He specifically said he wouldn’t pardon his son (convicted by a jury of his peers) and did a complete about face. And made it worse by accusing the whole prosecution as being politically motivated (he stole Trump’s lines). That said, I probably would have done the same thing. The convictions were for tax evasion (repaid with penalties) and lying on a gun purchase form. He could have faced up to 25 years in prison altho the majority of legal experts said that would be nonsense and probation would have been more appropriate. If I were Biden looking at Trump’s PROMISES of retribution, would I have left my son’s fate to the system? Nope. Although he fumbled (again) by using Trump’s lines. He should have just issued the pardon and left out any references to political lawfare. Dumb. Commando Cunt Queen

I don't agree with the pardon, but I also know what is at stake given the incoming administration who have straight up said what their agenda is so I don't intend to be argumentative about it. It's not like he stole and stashed our nation's secrets in the shitter or helped to plan a coup against our government or even murdered people for that matter. I won't be clutching my pearls.

Murdered people?

I think your brain got stashed in the shitter. Lucky for you it doesn't make much difference because you hardly ever used it.

Rep Steve Cohen says he put a Bill on the House floor to ban pardons for POTUS family/staff for crimes committed but, he couldn't get any republicans to sign on to it. *snort laugh*

Even weirder is the ability to pardon yourself. Gives “pardon me” a whole new meaning (if u happen to be POTUS or a governor). If nothing else, I’m certainly learning more about the flaws in our system of government. I still haven’t wrapped my head around the Supreme Court’s ruling of immunity for acts committed by a sitting POTUS. The dissenters on that basically said that the court was giving the POTUS the ability to commit murder if it was considered a presidential action and the public seemingly shrugged. We’re fucked up. I see the decision as a response to party actors who lost sight of their place in the grand scheme of things. The reality is one party made to appear as two, meaning that electoral politics is little more than a facade. A perfect example of this is the implementation of AI in the government sector. It's happening as we speak, but nowhere in the halls of Congress is this being publicly discussed, and the outcome of the recent election was entirely inconsequential. It's a done deal, and we're left to hoping that the people who are imposing this new socio-economic order have mercy on those who have no place in it. This is how you trick people into consenting to being enslaved. Think voting is fundamentally different from the EULA's we're forced to accept so we can go about our daily lives? Think again, it isn't. The devil is in the details, conveniently overshadowed by the MAGA theatre performed by the Democrats and Republicans for the last 8+ years. One party made to appear as two, and there's no need to hide it because people see what they're conditioned to see. Some people see Trump as a hero, some see him as a villain, both groups are completely distracted from what's really going on.

There is a serious amount of pearl clutching in cyberspace this morning in regards to that pardon.

Anyone could see that pardon coming from a mile away, especially since Trump promised to pardon all the idiots that participated in the insurrection on his first day in office. Besides, all Biden has to do is play off his dementia and claim he doesn't remember saying that he wouldn't pardon Hunter.

Pardons aren't what Biden has to worry about come judgement day.

I'm reading a lot of chat that Biden isn't done with the pardons. I read last night there's a good chance Dr. Fauci gets one because some republicans have spent the last few years threatening him with prison. If true, I'm more than okay with that pardon. I expect the trump administration to do everything they have threatened to do and then some.

He should go to fucking prison.
