In today's newer cars there is no dipstick for the transmission fluid. If you want to check it you have to go to a service dealer and it takes about an hr and a half to check it. You cannot see if it's burnt, dis colored or breaking down. I never knew this. It's just another thing that can piss off a person. My Daughter is here for winter vaca and I wanted to check her car. Not gonna happen today.

Not quite. I almost peed my pants (Had to pee behind a wall at the Hilton) and pooped my pants a little today from too much coffee and beer. Fuck the bus. I'll be glad to have my car back by Wednesday.

Think about it............how does a person check their transmission fluid level in a newer car? Do they have to make a freakin appointment? How stupid is that? I'm a bit pissed at this new revelation. It's bugging me. Whats next, checking brake fluid, radiator fluid, blinking light fluid!

Yeah, I can't even remember what we did when we were at the shop, basically did a trans fluid flush, but I am trying to remember what my boss said. Did he say no reason to check if there isn't a problem? Or....that one should do a trans flush once a year??? I can't remember and it is bugging me. : (
I am now watching a video about it. I'll post it if it is good.

Changing oil in new cars is a pain in the ass too.
