I couldn't look at the pix or even read their story. All I heard was that they had been rescued from labs. I can't bear it. I've had beagles and they are the best dogs ever. One of them was so smart she knew exactly what we were going to do by what footwear I put on. I'm not kidding.

She was such a great dog. The only thing that kept her from being perfect was that she liked to kill animals, especially bunnies. I once saw her try to drag away a groundhog that was bigger than her. *sigh* I really did not like the killing and always had to remind myself that she was bred to be a hunting dog. She'd race through the woods baying her little beagle heart out and when she got too hot she'd go into the pool room in the barn and swish back & forth on the ramp to cool off. I miss her every time I think of her.
