Is that Pappy?
Doesn't everyone have a weird uncle?
Did you ever see the movie Tommy?
My only uncle was uncle Bill who was a real asshole. The only thing I remember him doing was sitting in his chair drinking budweiser and watching the news or reading the newspaper and bitching about politics. He did that until he dropped dead in his chair at 96. Tommy is from The Who, right? I never watched it, but I probably should just for the hell of it.
I think it's worth watching. Oliver Reed is in it, who was very good friends with Keith Moon. It's based in part on Townsend's childhood, who was busted for downloading CP a decade or so ago. For research purposes, he claimed. Who knows.

I can see looking up something for research, I once looked up zoophilia because I'm fascinated with the twisted minds of people and I came across a bunch of disgusting shit that I wasn't trying to look up.I also strangely like reading about serial killers. But just how much "research" was he doing to get on the radar?

I think he was writing a book about his childhood and I don't know all the details, so probably better not to judge harshly.
Did you hear about the serial killer who was so prolific that he robbed banks to finance it, and had murder kits stashed in several states?

No, I'll have to look that one up. The craziest one I read was Edmond Kemper who chopped off his mother's head and kept it is a souvenir to literally skull fuck it.
