ok you guys I give up. I get it, you don't want to enable toxic behaviour. Also with addictive behaviour they groom you so they can attach themselves to a host and drain you dry. That's a parasite.

The way to deal with Ed is cold turkey unless there is some major behaviour modification.

Keep your distance unless he is assessed as safe. The likelihood of change is pretty poor.
