Starts today.   The opening game is Ronnie Osullivan playing some asian bloke, 1-0 up.
I dont know who your sporting icons are think of the greatest NFL star, or Babe Ruth etc, then multiply it by a hundred.

Thats Ronnie O Sullivan, hes on a different planet, we wont see the likes again.  Awesome.  An alien, snooker is harder than golf.

The final is on May 1st, and as they say in brum, i will be like a pig in shit, translated that means i will be enjoying myself enormously.

I used to play snooker two or three times a week in my 20s, i would look forward to it in the day. My top break was 36, and im proud of that. Potting is joyful, but safety play, preventing your opponent getting in is as good.
To watch two pros play safe when the frame is in balance is a joy, all of it is immersive. The crucible is sold out as far as i know, im watching it now there are no empty seats, thats a sell out from 10 in the morning to after midnight, its a sell out till May 1st.

Are you missing something?, you bet, but you will never know what it is. If snooker means being cheated in america, then you have been snookered, not to be able to appreciate this. If there is a table near you Rothschild, i doubt if there is, try it. You will then know how hard it is, technique is everything.

9 ball was my favorite. Have you heard of 1 pocket? Try it sometime.

But then, they are mostly Street Arabs . . . Baker Street Irregulars . . . transforming nouns to verbs without thought or care.
BTW - Is Trump progressing in the tournament or has defeat befallen him, there, too?

Thank you duchess. The word snooker in britain is about being stuck, that whatever you do, you cant escape. Joe Perry in the picture is a local from Chatteris which is up the road. He has talent, a lot, but is a no hoper. Neil Robertson lives in Cambridge and has a family but is Australian, he is a contender.
Yesterday Vilafei beat Ding, an ex world champion, playing four frames of perfect snooker, mind blowing.

He plays O Sullivan next on friday, im getting the beer and crisps in for that. In Vilafeis interview after the game he was bad mouthing O Sullivan saying he disrespected other players and was always seeking attention. O sullivan was slouching around the table pretending to have a cold in the first round.

When O Sullivan was younger and playing like a god, he would bad mouth his opponents who stood no chance, and he let them know it.

In world championships he would say he was going to quit after, but never did, he wants centre stage. There is no doubt O Sullivan has a personality disorder, and Vilafei is right, he is an out of this world snooker player, but also an ASSHOLE in the same dimension.

If both play as well as they can its going to be the best of all time, not only on the table, but off it, there might even be a scuffle. The problem you have is that you dont know the runners and riders, and their story.

Trump is yet to play Tiki. Hes an amazing player, his technique is wrong to the last moment when he strikes the ball, then he gets it right.

"Oh.  I hadn't been informed that Trump would be in attendance, tonight.",  said our hostess.
Both of heads snapped around, expecting to see the Donald.
The look on her face, after our mildly disappointed reaction to the ruse, was a simple sly grin.  It was a brilliant set-up, for her American guests.

You have only one pocket in which to sink your balls, Piglet. For you I guess that would be Chang. Is that nice? I don't even want to think about it.

With the size of Piggy's que stick, Clang would be more concerned with the prick of mosquito bite.
Rest assured.  The mosquito would be the only one with a chance of penetrating him.
