I ordered more traps for work-and they are the glue trap kind. Ugh. I can't handle that, but I will use them anyway. I think this will be ongoing. Invest in mouse trap companies!
I promise. The Jiffy Honey Cornbread mix combined with Baking Soda works!
And if they are consumed by other animals . . . they are not toxic.
Safe for predator consumption!

We caught 3 today.
I'll sleep a little better tonight after cleaning, sealing and spraying scents. But I won't sleep super well!

I am.
I look in the engine and the trunk daily.
And why do I think that sounds like I'm saying something else now? ONLY BECAUSE I AM TALKING TO YOU!

They usually go to a source of water. Hopefully that is outside.
Place the bait outside and around the structure to satisfy their need for food and thereby eliminating their need to forage inside.

Turn on the fan and see if the smell is blowing out. If it is then it's somewhere up front.
Can you look under the back seat?

I did turn on the fan.
Driver side is where it died.

It may have chewed it's way into the ductwork.
Good luck.

You remind me of the time I worked in the automotive industry. I had to hook up to someone's battery and they told me which side was positive and I looked at them and said," Is that the one with the big red +?" In my sweet sarcastic voice.

Before killing them all you should keep just one of them as a pet. I would name it Woody.

I know of someone who traps them humanely and then drives them away to release. This same person tried to save a litter of them, but only one survived. It's a pet now and she recently got it a mate. She's made an elaborate home for them.
Love Child, is getting a cat or two an option?

Or a snake or two? They're pretty easy to find out in the woods.

I'm glad you found the mouse.

Cat isn't an option. Good news, no new mice caught this morning in any of the traps-including the 2 I have in my vehicle. Others in the area say this is an exceptional year for the mice. Lucky me.
There are snakes here also-maybe the mice don't have enough predators.
I would actually love to have one as a pet, they are so cute.
I have a live trap in my office that i use when I start seeing signs of them-that way I can actually see how many I am dealing with and then I set the snap traps.

Well, I just discovered that my electric zapper trap had a mouse in it. I disposed of it outside under a tree and put a leaf over it.
And then I set the live trap.
Ooooh I better go check all the snap traps.

Back in the day when I was working with the racehorses I would sometimes discover nests of them in the corners of the stalls. I always covered them back up and I never told anyone. I wanted no part of any living thing being put to death. Y'all are the first to know.

That is sweet. Seems mice wouldn't be much harm in a place like that. Unless they soil the hay? I have no idea.

My male wolf-hybrid hunted those little bastards and ate them like candy.
He had just grabbed one up and had it in his mouth . . . with the two hind legs and tail exposed and twitching.
I yelled "YOU DROP THAT!".
He looked me in the eyes, paused for a moment and swallowed it . . . defiantly . . . and without giving it a second thought.
And after his swallowed it, he just sat there and continued to look me square in the eyes. No remorse or fear of consequences.
That was one of three times he ignored me in our 16 years together.
