Goes up for parole today.   I could have sworn Mock had a thread about her,  but only found her mentioned in a few other threads.  Than I realized that she killed her kids in 1994, way before mock was born.

Anyway, the news lady said South Carolina very rarely grants parole.  I hope they don't, I hope she dies in jail, alone, in a single cell with no one there to comfort her.

She did.   I was living in Georgia at the time and every black man from Virginia to Florida was harassed over this.   The KKK staged mock lynchings.  She put a target on every black man's back while crying on TV about her babies.  

I'm not usually one for the death penalty, but I would make an exception for her.  

I actually thought she was dead, and it surprised the he'll out of me when I heard her mentioned on the news.

Meh,  I don't agree.  She killed a 3 yo and a 1 yo (who could have been easily adopted). Because she wanted a relationship with a rich man.  She could have turned over custody to her ex. She could have done a lot of things, but what she did was strap those babies in a car, pushed that car into a lake, and then put a target on every black man in the south for 10 days.

Meh,  I don't agree.  She killed a 3 yo and a 1 yo (who could have been easily adopted). Because she wanted a relationship with a rich man.  She could have turned over custody to her ex. She could have done a lot of things, but what she did was strap those babies in a car, pushed that car into a lake, and then put a target on every black man in the south for 10 days.

That's seriously fucked up but 30 years is a very long time. I'd grant parole if she demonstrated that that she understood the full magnitude of what she'd done and had used the time she's been imprisoned to change herself fundamentally.

She's in adseg, she has very minimal contact with other inmates.   Of course, that didn't stop her from fucking a bunch of prison guards.  That little gem was revealed after an investigation was started  because she had a bunch of STD's. Back in 2000.

Imagine thinking if your children are dead & gone it would be a step in the direction to getting what you want. It's sickening. There were other choices, but she chose to murder her kids instead. She should consider herself lucky that she wasn't put to death.

I live about an hour and half from the town this happened in and I drove the same color and make and model of car that she was driving.   I traded that car in so fast.
