Mother arrested for 10 year old walking to town

We used to walk miles and ride our bikes several miles from our home. This mother got arrested when her son was left home alone and her son walked to town. I've heard of similar cases like this.

Also-do you remember when the notice went out saying, "Its 10 PM do you know where your children are?"

My sisters and I used to say, "Its 10 PM do you know where your parents are?"

We used to ride bikes 15 miles away

When I was 7 my mom used to send me a mile down the road past a major intersection with a note allowing me to buy her cigarettes and beer.

On another note nobody is questiong the parents of a 4 year old autistic boy who drowned in a lake here a couple of weeks ago. He was at a park with the father and two other children when he wandered off to the lake. I know accidents can happen quickly, but both parents have previously been arrested for child abuse. Now these paeople are recieving thousands of dollars from gofundme. People are advocating for a fence to be put up around the lake with no consideration that this same father was once arrested for beating the shit out of his pregnant wife and two year old kid.
