FAT TUESDAY!
#1
It's Fat Tuesday, kids. Have any of you ever been to Mardi Gras?

Clang, are you giving up anything for Lent this year?

Giving up living a semi normal life. I'm in a bit a depression spiral since this weekend and don't know how to get out of it.

Try thinking about what you do have rather than what you don't. You have many blessings as compared to some others and things could be so much worse.

Those are the kinds of things I think about when I'm feeling like you do. I hate feeling like that so I try to snap out of it. You have the things that are the most important, a home, a job, good friends and a life outside of work. Life is sometimes hard and many times it doesn't go the way we would like it to. At least you have a job that will pay for the tires for the car that you are lucky enough to have.

I've always wanted to go to Mardi Gras.
I found the baby Jesus in the fake a couple of years back so I owe a party.

I never got around to getting a spare. You would think I would have after the last 2 times this happened. But I'm a lazy, procrastinating idiot.

I've just lost all motivation to do anything. I've missed 2 days of work now and have zero interest in taking out my close to overflowing garbage, doing food shopping through instacart, or washing a sink full of dirty dishes.

You are not alone, it has been a depressing time. Hopefully you find some motivation somewhere.

Being prepared for life should be all the motivation you need.

That doesn't do much good if you feel that life isn't worth living.
