The UN has done jack shit as far as saving the Palestinians goes, so it makes perfect sense that it would turn it's attention to saving the world.

Front page of The NY Times this morning; picture of a starving child. It’s horrific. I read recently that during the ceasefire when some aid was being distributed, there were close to 400 locations. There’s 2 now. IDK, I’ve never compared anything to the Holocaust and I’m still not willing to go that far (no gas chambers etc) but I’m definitely feeling the irony or hypocrisy in all this. I don’t understand how people (particularly those that live in the region-in Israel and neighboring countries) justify this.
Although I do (I read the opinion pieces). They blame Hamas for not releasing hostages and not agreeing to lay down their arms and give into whatever conditions Israel wants. Ugh.

This kind of thing has always boggled my mind. I really couldn't care any less than I do about someone's religion. One's faith is so personal, who the hell am I to tell anyone who they should worship. I might have an opinion about it, but it wouldn't be anything more than that.

agreed. The chosen, the master race, same thing. might as well throw manifest destiny in there as well, native american "reservations". My opinion is that militant zealotry is at the core of violent suppression but my opinion won't stop the death dealing.
