It's pretty common now for companies to release updates that are seriously flawed, sometimes to the point of damaging hardware. If you have the ability to delay updating for a week or two it gives you a chance to check and see if an update is causing problems, There are almost always things you can do to prevent damage until the update is corrected. It could also be an internet issue. There've been serious network stability/vulnerability issues, going back to the CrowdStrike event that caused significant damage to the global economy.

Don't get me started on my scroll bar issue. It disappears with certain pages. The fix I read is to install an extension, it might work temporarily, and then it stops working.

Google is messed up. They won't help you recover your account if you can't remember your password. Had to give up trying to remember my old password and create a new email and account. Caused me to lose a lot of saved stuff and access to other stuff.
