Totally agree. Bait pile hunting isn't really hunting, either. Stalking, patterning the deer, having the stealth, knowledge and skill to get close enough took me 5 years to master and there is still SO MUCH to learn.

I'll admit it....in 20 years of bow hunting, I have taken 2 deer. (I drew on a buck, but couldn't get a good enough shot.) Both grown females that I used every part of. Including the hide. Any hunter worth their salt uses everything from the animal they harvest. I wouldn't pass up a deer just because there is a buck with a big rack I'm waiting on. I don't hunt for the trophy, I hunt for the meat. Loooooove, venison!! 70

You sorry pcs of shit! You will never realize that shooting a Deer is the same as buying meat in a store, you just do not see the "bad stuff" Bunch of Fucking hypo-city dipshits! My way is more humane than anything you could buy in a store, at least the ones I kill knew freedom. And if it wasn't for the dwindling numbers of hunters you would have more deer jumping in front of the Lexus that you cannot afford.
More restrictions are put on hunters than any other, we have to pay to help conserve public lands! And selective hunting perimeters are set up every year always changing. Watching the laws of hunting and using the area change from Archery to powder to shotgun is something the average ass-hole cannot fathom they are so fucking afraid that because they are to stupid to walk in the woods always pursuing the people that actually have a grasp of conservation and letting people that litter and abuse theland are the real culprits.

Pleasesend this to 20,469,527 people or you will diein a cave.

::laugh:: The secret though is to first do nothing for a long time and then get lucky spotting the deer. THEN you have proven you are for conservation and can get respected.

LMPP.... http://www.slate.com/id/2199140/

Not sure how reputible this site is but to me it seems fine if it is done as is stated there and for the reasons given.

Sin, you know every time I've had venison I hated it. I found it chewy or gamey and I don't like gamey tasting meat. Other hunters have said you gotta make stew out of it or marinate it until it's tender.

I figure if I gotta beg the meat to taste good, it's not good. But to each his or her own when it comes to food. Unless you eat ravioli out of a can.... that's just an abomination.

Like I said, I personally don't have it in me to hunt but I got no problem with others who do.

Maggot, yeah I know all too well what goes on in slaughter houses. I'd rather not get into that.

The deer drink out of my bird baths, eat the fruit from the trees & during cold weather months I feed them corn..Two summersina row a doe has left her fawns under the apple tree while she spent the day doing God only knows, everytimedeer come to my yard I feel like it's a gift from God, so to speak...This is how I enjoy the wildlife & it's not a dig at all to those of you who hunt.

Shame on you. You don't do anything for conservation and do NOT have the respect of those who wait forever in the woods to get lucky.

I don't blame you for hunting and eating it, I would too. I just don't think you deserve any recognition or respect for being good at waiting a long time and getting lucky enough to take a shot at a dumb animal.

I enjoy wildlife the same way, Dutch. I grew up on a farm and there was nothing I liked better than spending the days, from sun up till sun down (and sometimes much later which pissed off my Granny somethin' fierce!)in the woods tracking deer, looking at bird, raccoon, coyote and various other wildlife tracks in the mud and shit by the pond. Catching tadpoles, jumping bareback on the harness racers that grazed there.....*sigh* That was the best time of my life. There is nothing better than time in the wild, if you're hunting with a weapon, or your camera or just your God-given eyeballs.

No one gives a fuck about your little house on the prairie bullshit. Behind the outhouse is probably where you started smoking cigarettes. We care about the deer with the arrowhead stuck in its eye, mouth, or other body part, still alive and suffering as you suck on a tar stick and pat yourself on the back feeling "respected" for excellence in waiting and getting lucky.

We must not have read the same article. This sounds 'fine' to you?

Uh, that shit doesn't sound kosher to me at ALL. And Palin supports this type of activity? I can't say this type of hunt, because this ain't hunting. I have to go back and read the rest of the article but I don't like what I see so far. And why do wolves need to be killed at all???? It's not like they need to be culled like deer herds do.

Oh Christ.....I just did. I wish you could unsee something you have seen.

These motherfucking pieces of leech shit use SHOTGUNS from airplanes??? Oh my God what I would so gladly do toany or allof these son of a whore's body if I could just get my hands on them. I could cheerfully, happily, even gleefully tie them down, then skin them with a vegetable peeler. As I was peeling their skin I would pour salt and vinegar on the opened flesh. Then I would begin cutting off toes, with my dull 1" blade. I would puncture their cheeks with an ice pick. I would remove one eyeball with a melon baller, but just one so they could watch themselves bleeding out.I'd administer first aid as I went along to draw out the torture as long as I could. I would take the pilot of the aircraft, strip him naked and let him run. Then I would climb into his own plane and I'd tatter him with buckshot until he was splattered across half of Alaska and leave him for the wolves to scavenge.

Then I'd get pissed.....

I know this wasn't meant to be a political thread, but Sarah Palin endorses and encourages this kind of wolf 'hunt'... and she's running for vice president with a man that's got a 33% chance of dying in office.

I'm afraid.

Did you hear that while she was mayor, her town charged sexual assault victims the price of their rape kits?

That video must have been truly awful for Sinister to have the reaction she did, that alone tells me that I don't want to know what is in it.

Poopy, I heard that rape victims were required to purchase their own rape kits...That bitch is a piece of work & that would be an understatement...I feel the same way about her as you do.
