Getting back on track a bit.

I stopped hunting and shootingfor two reasons.

1 - Whilst out on a grouse shoot the beaters were sending the grouse towards us and suddenly loads of them all took off at the same time. I was standing in line with about a dozen other shooters and we all started shooting, there were that many grouse together that you couldn't miss. You could literally close your eyes, point your shotgun into the air and you would still bag a couple. After about 15 minutes of shooting there was a huge pile of dead grouse in front of us, many of them were twitching and had to have their necks broken manually to put themout of their misery. I think we grabbed about half a dozen to give to the chef for the big meal that night, therest were just burned. As a watched the huge pile of birds go up in flamesI thought to myself "this isn't sport".

2 - Whilst out hare coursing with my grandfather in Scotland, we let Bomber, my grandads best and beloved greyhound off the leadand he took up the chase with two hares. One hare jumped a hedge and got away, Bomber eventually grabbed the other hare, the harestarted to scream, and I mean scream, and it sounded like a child in pain, like a young child screaming. I felt sick to my stomach and told my grandad that i wouldn't wanting any of my grannys hare pie that night.

You know OP, the rabbit screaming is the very reason my friend Dana got rid of her snake.

She had a very large boa and fed it live prey. It got big enough for rabbits and she freaked out over the screaming.

Why anyone would want a snake that big as a pet is beyond me anyway. I think it was her husband's idea of a 'cool' pet.

Something that big should be left out of captivity. JMO.

I thought they made all hunting illegal in the UK? You can only shoot 'vermin' I'm told and that's with either a rifle or shotgun.

I don't think the government will allow her to use her religion to influence her religion on her governing. I also don't think that she'll be in any postition to do it. And have you even looked into if she used her religion to govern and make law in Alaska? I dont' think she did.

As a youth, I was walking along a ditch bank and heard screams like from a small elf like creature. as I got closer, I saw a gardner snake swollowing a frog feet first. I had never heard a frog scream before and have never heard it since. It's the way of life. Preditor eats the prey. I agree with the birds being wasted as a waste but my Deer have all tasted great as roasts, stews, burgers, sauces and yes even jerky. The only critters I hunt and don't eat are the varments like coyoties and woodchucks.
