Also, Liquid, go bury your head in the sand, just like the rest of the world! If you think that Russia would not even hesitate for one second to try to take Alaska via the bering strait, you are sorley mistaken.
If we show one inkling of weakness, we shall see not only our allies fall one by one, but quite probably one of our own states!
I am petrified with fear that if the weak candidate takes the oath of office, Russia will make its intentions clear to the world.

Russia made absolutely zero attempt at invading Alaska during the entire 35 year history of the cold war when they were at the height of their power and military might, what makes you think they would try to do it now?
Your just another paranoid pseudo Mccarthyite looking for reds under the bed.
TheUS military>>>>>>a dozen pygmies with sharp sticks>>>>>>the russian military.
We need to punish the French, ignore the Germans and forgive the Russians - Condoleezza Rice.

Oh, of course...since they didn't try it then, that automatically means they won't try now if they believe it is in their best interest to accomplish their goal. Naturally.
Basing an opinion of what a country will do based on what they did or didn't do before is as stupid as we've all come to expect from you. Possibly more stupid. Didn't think that was possible from you, but it obviously is.

That's why dumbass.
Why don't you read ALL the posts you missed before commenting? You're dumb replies are so ---- dumb.
It's not 35 years ago now stupid... now is a new beginning. Russia has revamped their nuke program and has said so to the world. They have doubled their arsenal in the last few years and the NRC has said they have NEVER been able to assess how many nukes Russia has past and present.
Russia has been operating by their own rules from day one and letting them into the UN security council was a big mistake as well as allowing China in.

You obviously don't learn from the "lessons of history" as that prick MF would say.
Russian president - "We are currently in an arms race with the US we are the two major superpowers in the world, I think we should use our military might to invadeAlaska and stealall its resources right from under the noses of the Americans".
Retarded advisor - "No comrade, lets wait until our political system collapses, the motherland is split into a hundred different independent states and America becomes the only superpowerleft in the world before we invade".
Russian president - ::doh::

And let's be honest again, everyone in the world knows we could bomb the endless shit out of the countries we are currently fighting in but we are trying not to kill innocent people if at all possible.
so no, i am not worried about russia coming into Alaska. It would be a very quick end to their country and probably the start of WW3, which no one wants to start.

Are you people so thick as not to hear what I am saying?
WW3 actually has already started. All of these little conflicts (Iraq, Afghanistan, Georgia, Darfur, etc..) are a simple indication that the entire world is at war in one way, shape or form.
If I remember my world history correctly, an amazingly great speaker tried to end the existence of the Jewish population in Europe. Nobody took HIM too serious. Next thing we know is that alot of GREAT Americans and Britons are dead!
We are all overlooking the same threat. Yet another heinous belief system is trying to wipe out not only Jews, but every other conflicting religion.
Russia in the mean time, is waiting in the wings while the ONLY country with any sort of balls tries to take these scumbags almost singlehandedly.

I do not think we are in "WW3" yet. Sure there is the potential for things to escalate, but that has always existed for decades and almost the last century. I agree it is important to be cautious, BUT at the same time not be hysterical (not saying you are being this way, just in general) or unrealistic.

Neither Roosevelt nor Churchill thought so about WWII, but we all know how that turned out!
It's just like a slight of hand trick, here we are looking in one direction, and then we get attacked from the other.
I don't want to sound like an alarmist, but history DOES repeat itself if we let it. I just ask you all to open your minds and take a second look at big picture!

you do sound like an alarmist. I am willing to see the big picture, but also not panic needlessly.

I don't see any panicking there by his posts. I see that he is pointing out all the possibilities.
The mere fact that Russia has said they'll nuke Poland for putting the defense system there is alarm enough for me to open my eyes wide. The whole time as a kid I've NEVER heard Russia openly say they'll nuke any country. That's why it was a 'cold' war.... lots of knowledge of what the other side had and was capable of but no open threats like that one.

Liquid is smart. He waits until the last minute to build HIS bunkers.
