Ever walk into someone's house and the cat stalks you like it wants to eat your eyeballs?
Ever walk into someone's house and the cat is always lurking behind something watching your every move?

Anyone you know with a cat and they can't pick it up and they, "Have no idea why, it was such a cute kitten"?

Anyone know someone with a cat that actually does attack you if you try to pet it or it attacks you viciously when it's done allowing you to pet it?

That video is the very reason why any of those behaviors happen with cats.

I wouldn't blame the cat if it grew up and attacked them every chance it gets.

I've never played rough with my cats... people seem to think they can rough house with cats the same way they do with dogs, but if you know anything about cats at all, you can see how pissed off it makes them. That little guy looked about as upset as I've seen a kitten look.

Yeah and he looked like he felt 'trapped' to stay there and take it too.

I play rough with my cats but on their terms. I let them attack me, not me attack them. Not one of my cats has ever taken it's claws out on me playing rough like that with it.

People think you can't train cats too. Bullshit. As long as you don't fuck them up as a kitten you can train them to do nearly anything.

Seriously? It looked to me like it was just playing with the guy. It wasn't hissing or growling or anything... it doesn't have the 'big eyes' and its ears weren't even pinned back. Maybe I don't know cats that well, I've had a few (I still have one who doesn't live with me right now) and they've all been healthy, happy, well adjusted cats. Maybe I'm missing something.

btw - all of my cats were 'trained' as well - being a dog trainer, I just couldn't help myself. They would always come on command (more or less), sit on command, dance, talk to me, as well as being nicely behaved. The only problem I ever had was when I brought a kitten home and my older cat got pissed off and shit on my bed... but that was a one time thing. I pretty much have treated all of my cats like dogs, because that's what I know. But, it's not like I've ever been super rough with my dogs either.

That kitten didn't seem pissed at all, I don't know what you people are talking about. Also, that kind of playing with a kitten seems perfectly in-line with how they are supposed to play.

The open mouth, switching tail, biting and nervous twitch upon waiting for the hand shows the cat is distressed.

That kitten hasn't the age yet on it to pull ears back and make big eyes. You can't get a clear look at it's eyes due to it's age and the color is still not developed yet. It's taking it's back claws out and kicking when the hand comes down to it.

Having over 40 cats in my life I think I know a distressed kitten no matter how cute it is.

Isn't that how they act/look are when they play with each other naturally, or like, if you hang a string or toy for them to play predator with? You can't play around with a kitten like that at all?

Any animal on it's back is put into a position of submission. You play with cats on their terms, not yours. Cats don't play "predator" on their back. In this instance that kitten is made to feel like it's the prey.

It doesn't look to me, any more distressed than kittens I've seen wrestling and playing with other kittens.78:

Sorry, I disagree. Particularly at the end, you can see it 'snarling'... little guy not only wants to gut her with his back legs but bite into those hands.

Let's put it into human terms. Have you ever been held down as a child and tickled? I was and I don't remember enjoying the situation of someone bigger and stronger basically forcing themselves on me, even if it was something as "innocent" as tickling my ribs.

I let my cats watch that and they demanded that I do an IP search so they can go make things right with that little cat.

Roll your eyes all you want - disagree with me all you want but Lumpy described it perfectly. Add to that it's not another kitten its own age it's playing with but a giant human hand.

It's the same concept that when you go to pet a dog you don't know -you don't put your palm down and go to pet it overhead where it looks like you're going to cover it's eyes but you should hold your hand palm up and let the dog inspect it first, then pet it from the side. More people get bit this way than any other in regard to dog bites.

Don't worry Lumpy, that adorable little blue cat will go "ninja" on those assholes when it's big enough.
