And the last couple weeks I had hope for you here. You apparently have a very short memory when you came here (after your long absense), whining like the bitch you are about how we should be angry and flaming like you. We explained then how the site's evolved and you whined again that you couldn't find the 'archives' and then whined again that you had no intention of reading through all the posts you missed during your absence.
You tried to fit in. You tried to post without sounding like you're a deranged lunatic but apparently you can't help yourself. You fail at fitting in.
Mocking each other is one thing..... looking like some kind of sadistic fuck in regard to any kind of life than your own is just sad.

I have kinda a cool story about a fur coat...Every month for a few years I was writing a check to my dry cleaners to store a fur for me in a climate controlled room, I don't wear fur & I will never wear fur but, someone I loved very much bequeathed it to me and I didn't feel right just junking it so, I had a brilliant idea, I found a seamsstress who was willing to take it apart and she proceeded to do just that and made many teddy bears out of it, when her sewing friends were told what she was attempting to do, they volunteered their time to help and with my blessing they donated the finished bears to our local hospital and the childrens burn center in the next state...Pretty cool, eh...The only people that even knew I was involved in any way was Cowboy & the seamstess, that's just the way I like it 'cuz when others find out you are a giving person, they come outta the fuckin' woodwork, no lie.
That's awesome, Duch. What a nice thing to do for those kids!!

You're a damn fool, Dick. It's not natural to torture animals for fur that you don't need. This isn't fucking Siberia, you moron, we have the means to keep ourselves warm without having to kill animals. It's not even a by-product of the meat industry, they're just tortured for the sake of fashion.

You sound like someone I know who tries to justify his abuses toward his wife by saying that other people are far more abusive, so his don't matter.
If a person were going to freeze to death otherwise, I could certainly see a justifiable reason to kill an animal for its fur. In this day and age however, it's pure vanity and the methods of raising/trapping and killing these fur animals is generally horrific.
Simply because you are not advanced enough to sympathize outside of the small sphere that directly affects your life, does not make your point of view correct.

fuck that shit , neither you nor I can stop the practice, whats the point of getting all twisted up about it? I can buy beef at the store also but I still hunt, I can buy fish but I still fish, and I can hunt rabbit but I prefer to raise them , kill them myself and feed my family with them.
some poeple make a living from trapping, and selling mink hydes, and thats because people buy them I didn't create the market and I won't stop the practice either, its been a part of the natural order of things since maybe before you were born.
the simple fact of the matter is that you are responding to something that is either over your head or that you don't understand.
thats the position a fool takes, blame me if you want but minks will die in the time it takes you to do it. nothing will have changed just because I choose to see things differently than you. "which by the way Im not required to do" you have your opinion I have mine , mine is right for me and yours well yours is just plain shallow.

Don't be stupid, there was a time when the back leather from slaves was used to make lamp shades and stool seats, Im pretty sure that we have advanced beyond the kill or be killed instinct that is present in the animal world.
if thats too hard for you to see take a walk on the wild side and see who eats and who gets eaten and then tell me again about animals V human.

Because what each person chooses to do in their life DOES make a difference. Whether or not you choose to support the fur industry, by purchasing fur may be a microcosm, but in fact it is also the macrocosm, since every individual 'cell' makes up a whole. Each and every person who changes their beliefs and actions, does affect what happens.
Dick Wrote:I can buy beef at the store also but I still hunt, I can buy fish but I still fish, and I can hunt rabbit but I prefer to raise them , kill them myself and feed my family with them.
And in fact, I support raising or hunting ones own food over the option of buying from a store, but that has no relation to the morality of raising/trapping animals for fur.
Dick Wrote:its been a part of the natural order of things since maybe before you were born.
har. :
Again, that holds true in a primitive situation where one NEEDS fur to survive, but that is certainly not the case in this modern day.
Dick Wrote:the simple fact of the matter is that you are responding to something that is either over your head or that you don't understand.
You are suggesting that 'natural order' is over my head?? That's hilarious when you don't even classify humans as animals.
Dick Wrote:you have your opinion I have mine , mine is right for me and yours well yours is just plain shallow.
Right, because it's so very shallow to take a more global view of life, rather than limiting your concerns to your own species/country/neighborhood/family. :
I'm sure that line of thinking impresses the Klan.

And Nazis made leather from Jews.... what's your point? That we are less savage than other species of animal? Or more savage?
dick Wrote:Im pretty sure that we have advanced beyond the kill or be killed instinct that is present in the animal world.
Your false confidence is amusing. Humans react to other humans with the same range of 'instinct' as other species of animal. It is likely that we always will as long as we have a corporeal body to deal with. If we ever advance to the point where we are no longer corporeal, THEN you might have an argument that we are not 'animals'.

Syber, he fails to see none of us are on the "dont' eat meat for the poor animals" bandwagon. He refuses to understand animals indeed are scientient beings and they do feel pain. They know when danger is there to harm them and it's the cold inumane person who tries to tell oneself that they're going to die anyway and since we're superior who fucking cares. They have intelligence. Maybe not to the level of ours but they still can reason within the limits of their species. If they didn't have these abilities they wouldn't be able to survive at all.
There's a difference between cold blooded killing for the sake of it and humanely killing for the sake of survival. Ted Nugent would slap you silly for your thoughts.

are simple definitions beyond your scope of intelligence ?
Human
animal
Please supply the definitions for yourself, that way you won't be able to make shit up.
Humans while are mammals and can act animalistic do so with forethought, animals on the other hand act like animals because of instinct and no amount of contact with humans will completely change that nature.
let me ask you this do you smell the asses of people who come to your house? or is that not a trait that you as an animal indulge in?

Human - a species of animal.
Animal - A large class of living creatures capable of moving voluntarily.
Dumbass - someone who does not understand that humans are animals.

why am I not surprised? you have shown yourself to be intellectually dishonest, is that a human trait or an animal trait ?
ANIMAL
–noun 1. any member of the kingdom Animalia, comprising multicellular organisms that have a well-defined shape and usually limited growth, can move voluntarily, actively acquire food and digest it internally, and have sensory and nervous systems that allow them to respond rapidly to stimuli: some classification schemes also include protozoa and certain other single-celled eukaryotes that have motility and animallike nutritional modes.
2. any such living thing other than a human being.
3. a mammal, as opposed to a fish, bird, etc.
4. the physical, sensual, or carnal nature of human beings; animality: the animal in every person.
5. an inhuman person; brutish or beastlike person: She married an animal.
6. thing: A perfect job? Is there any such animal?
HUMAN
–adjective 1. of, pertaining to, characteristic of, or having the nature of people: human frailty.
2. consisting of people: the human race.
3. of or pertaining to the social aspect of people: human affairs.
4. sympathetic; humane: a warmly human understanding
The only real thing we have in common with animals is bodily function, the genus of animals is completely different , body temperature is completely different , instinctively animals are far superior to humans far less frail and far more likely to survive in many different aspects than humans.
if we are animals we are on the bottom of the food chain.
now you may have an argument if you try for likenesses as mammals but as far as science is concerned animals and humans are completely different animals.::bigsmile::
