Is this "joke" funny to you?

Quote:How can 2 million blacks get into Washington DC in sub zero temps in 1 day when 200,000 could not get out of New Orleans in 85 degree weather with 4 days notice?

Yes, but not because its "blacks".
It would be funnier if it said people instead.

Just wondering. I posted about this last January after seeing one of the klan post it at 24 and it turned into a nasty argument. Of course that was when Sinister was still here, backed firmly by Ramsey.

I thought it was offensive and I got the usual suspects jumping on my ass about cross forum pollination and me not having a life... basically skirting the original post and going on LMPP attack mode.

Funny how the climate here at Mock has changed.

Are we in an argumentive mood this morning? Sometimes I want to try posting something and building on it until there is a wave of nastiness to feed on. I just do not have the balls I guess. You are my hero!Smiley_emoticons_biggrin

I believe the joke was actually based around the Presidential Inauguration, not the 'million man march' (though I could be wrong about that).

Yes, actually, I found it to be hilarious when I first heard it. It has certainly lost it's punch over time.

Hence my comment that it should be "people" instead of "blacks", because there were plenty of whites involved as well.

Yeah, I don't like it. Besides the fact that its insulting, its not accurate. Obviously, there was more than 4 days' notice about the march, right? Not funny or I'm just not getting it.

I would like it better if they didn't mention washington, they shouldn't pick on retarded politicians.

they had notice of both events and didn't show up at either.
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

I'm pretty sure it was about the inauguration as the MMM was held in the summer.
