I had planted all sorts of shit this year, and the only things that grew were tomatoes and cukes-the tomatoes took over the whole fucking garden-my kids are now sick of eating them, I have given away tons, and there's still more out there. I'm hoping some hungry animal will come by and devourer the rest.

I've been so fucked up with being confined because of the weather that I have resorted to perusing online seed catalogs & daydreaming of Summer. I'm going to plant seeds this year, sunflowers & pumpkins and hope I have some good luck.

Very Nice;
Working on a box garden in the back yard this weekend, started last weekend. Flowers, herbs and maybe a pepper plant or two.

I only want to grow sunflowers because I'm a tightwad, two stems cost 5.00 in the Fall and I like big, fat bouquets.

Contrary to how it looks outside in many places, Spring is not far away. Did any of you gardeners start seeds yet?

I can't even find the damn ground.

That's why some people start seeds this time of year. They begin them inside and then by the time the ground has warmed they have something to plant, others simply wait and buy plants at their local garden centers. I'm only thinking about this stuff because I'm daydreaming of Spring.

that wouldnt be a bad idea if I didn't have 800 other honeydo projects working right now. I still gotta finish the walls in this kitchen and then the floor right behind. I forget, did I ever post kitchen renovation pics here?

I was just thinking the other day that I should start my tomatoes. But if I find a house by the end of summer I might have to sneak back and raid my own garden.

I can hardly wait to dig in the dirt and mulch and cut grass and complain about the heat & humidity...and, and, and.

The 'moon melon' has been doing the rounds for years. It's a crock of shit.

Don't plant yellow squash. I did that one year and the plant grew huge and took over the whole garden on the side of my house. As big as that plant got it only produced one squash. Plus it attracted all these weird looking red bugs that I've never seen before.

OK I got a couple, I'll switch them over to photobucket or something and post them. Kitchen is only half done, we got all the cabinets replaced and the shiny new countertops in, but extreme cold weather and sick person after sick person has delayed our part of things. Seems like every damn time I try to earmark a day for work somebody comes down with something. Yeesh.

My veges are going in next weekend and will be watered with a hose under the straw that keeps the weeds out I just have to turn on the water. Easier that way.
