Do you like your religion? What are you?

I think it's okay to exchange sitting through church services for sex. I'd do it for a new handbag & God understands that about me.

God will come into existence in the next couple years (2012 maybe) when the internet suddenly becomes sentient. It will be none too smart right off but will reorganize itself in nanoseconds to become God. To assure His own existence He has to create big bang and man to invent the computer.

There are no new ideas. Arthur C. Clarke and a few other SF writers already wrote ideas close to that.

I think my main problem with the whole thing is boredom. I have read most of the Book myself or been exposed to the good parts during my childhood when I was forced to go to church. Who needs to read the same book over and over and over and over and over? Boring. Even for an Earlthy reward.

I always figure the people who feel like they HAVE to go to church each Sunday to get their weekly reminders must be horrible freaking people if they can't remember the message longer than one week. The religions who go because they have some ritual ~ hahaha they got you by the short hairs.

I'm off to the church of "NFL" where the forces of good and evil will do battle. San Diego is ground zero and at communion buffalo wings will be given out. Penance will be forthcoming a few hours later and I will dip my chip in the holy dip bucket. If all goes well I will bask in the sunlight of a new win and I will feel clean and refreshed as I collect offerings from the unbelievers.

If San Diego is ground zero, be prepared to cry later at the altar of regret.

That had to be a painful loss, Maggot. I won't rib you. Maybe God will pay your rent or something now.

Then you should be fucking ashamed by that score. 3 points. WTH? (I should have known with the "ground zero" reference.)

The guilt of not being religious anymore never really leaves. When I go grocery shopping on Sundays, I always dress nicely so the other people at the store don't know I didn't go to church. That is a weirdness I blame on my parents.

That doesn't even matter anymore. People are wearing blue jeans & football jerseys. I saw the junky heathens with my own eyes as I drove by.

Are you seriously not Catholic? I know I am making a moderately racist assumption linking your personal skin oil production and garlic intake to your faith, but don't you kinda HAVE to be Catholic? If you are Greek Orthodox, please do excuse my ignorance. I can't tell olive-skinned peoples apart.

I have a first edition Bible signed by God.

I don't subscribe to an organized religion or cult. I don't respect the notion that anyone is right about a creator of the Universe issuing the book they like. Fucking retards.

He goes to Sunday mass with his hairy wife and their offspring, but he only does it for the buffet afterwards and to please his dear old mother. I think he metioned something about getting a blowjob out of it too.

That deal has been working out great because we haven't gone in over a month but I still get dividend blows for past credit.

Exactly ... shit, I'd sit through a KKK meeting if it meant the blowjob of the year is coming my way.

Jesus wept.

What do Catholic churches have against air conditioning? It's good they serve wine because it always smells like salami inside.

Do you think it detracts from the sanctity of the services? Serious question. Are you less holy if you didn't bother to at least attempt casual Friday dress? I think so.

I went to a charismatic church down here one time. Just the once. They were going to annoint people so they pulled out a Kroger brand ("Krogers" to many, fucking rednecks) vegetable oil bottle. Then everybody went out to smoke on the front steps. I think you should have to pass some kind of academic achievement test in order to pick a religion. Just so folks don't interpret the scripture like they butcher the Reader's Digest.

I don't think that someone has to dress a certain way or even sit through services to have a relationship {for lack of a better word} with God.

Yeah, someone who dresses in attire more suited for the ballpark than church is probably less holy. I don't even really like saying it like that but, it's probably true, a pious person would look upon their clothing as putting their best foot forward when they go to God's house.

I'm not a religious person by any stretch of the imagination & Jesus Christ is probably my favorite cuss. I believe in God but, I don't believe in a lot of the bs that is associated with that belief.

Is it also your position that piety is commensurate with one's tithe?

That is a stretch of Bibilical proportions.
