Misc. cases I
Max was 6. and i think 6-year-olds are likely to unthinkingly run through the house (with scissors even). hell, my brother decided to be superman and "flew" off a cliff, nearly killed himself. a broken neck is not so difficult to contemplate and i don't for a minute think the child was murdered.

on the other hand, i have my doubts/questions about Rebecca Zahau's death. i will not read gossip sheets, i will read a pathology report and Sheriff's reports when it's all said and done.

edit to add:
pathologist cyril wecht is, IMO, a media whore and expert witne$$ for sale. i wouldn't rely 100% on his conclusions either.

LC, i think the last comment was directed toward me. Maybe the Dr. Phil show is not reliable and perhaps the Hinky
Meter is all gossip, However, all members of Mock have posted info from other posters who comment on Facebook, local
newspapers, etc. We all know better than to trust everything the media says or opinions of others weighing in with
their theories. Part of the "fun" of this is trying to solve the crime so we need all the information and it is up to us
to weed out the untruths from the truth and come up with a reasonable scenario. Censorship
doesn't work for me. If people don't agree with you, fine. The main reason people hang on to gossip is because the police aren't releasing info (completely justified in most cases) so the media doesn't have much to report.
I don't believe the LA Times is any more accurate than any other source for this case as everyone tends to speculate
due to absence of facts. I am just pleased that Rebecca's family has stood up to everyone and wants more investigation.
Also, i never believed due to height of rail in proportion to Max. that he could have fallen over railing as the diagram above
shows. I know you want to support LE and if I were in your shoes, I would also. However, not
all LE agencies do a good, thorough job of investigating cases. Thankfully, most do.JMO

i wasn't aiming anything at anyone here, my comments are directed at the sources of lousy information. i enjoy gossip as evidenced by the facebook nazi thread, but like Joe Friday, i just want the facts about some cases. don't take it personally. after years of doing this i have learned to discern credible sources/reporters/witnesses/talking heads on TV from hacks.

if anything that changed case was discovered, it wouldn't be saved for the phony BS doctor's tv ratings on monday. i'll wait for the Sheriff to say so.

Sheriff Dept. has reviewed the 'doctor' fool program and says there was nothing new in autopsy/pathology report, and case remains closed.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police in New Jersey are investigating the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of a 1-year-old child, who was reported missing by a family member on Wednesday afternoon.

The Hanover Township Police Department said it received a call reporting that Bentley Cooper Collette had gone missing.

According to authorities, the young boy’s mother, 29-year-old Jessica Collette, drove a family member uto a doctor’s appointment in Hanover Township with the understanding that she would wait in the parking lot.
When that family member returned from the doctor’s office, she found the vehicle in the lot with a note indicating that Jessica was leaving with the child for Kentucky.

“Our primary concern is to make sure the child is safe,” Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi said.

Jessica Collette and her son may be in a white vehicle, possibly a Chevy Impala, with Kentucky plates, according to authorities.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911, the Hanover Township Police Department at (973) 428-2512 or the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office at (973) 285-2900.

Is the mother mentally ill or a substance abuser? I'm just wondering why they are considering it a missing person/child if the child left with his mother. Maybe there is an ongoing custody battle?

as i anticipated re dr. fool program:

he's about nothing but ratings. when he had the lying greedy anthonys on that was the last straw for many people. more blood money on a dead child. my scorn is directed at the phony doctor and cyril wecht, media slut. for sale to $$$ highest-bidding defense team.

Sheriff Gore's statement called the show 'nothing more than sensationalism at its lowest point' which caused the family more suffering.
the sheriff said guests on the two-part show altered, misrepresented and omitted facts. THIS IS VERY TELLING: wecht hasn't even turned over his "findings" to the Sheriff!

MORRIS COUNTY — A Mine Hill woman and her 1-year-old child, who left New Jersey unexpectedly Wednesday, are safe and sound in Kentucky, and a stop-and-hold order has been ended, according to authorities.

The order was issued Wednesday after Jessica Collette, 29, drove off unexpectedly with her child, leaving behind a relative at a doctor’s office.

Both the mother and child have been located in Hyden, Ky., in Leslie County, Capt. Jeffrey Paul, a spokesman for the Morris County prosecutor, said today.

“Both mom and child are safe and the stop and hold has been released,” Paul added.

Craigslist ad lures men to Ohio to be robbed and killed

By surviving his ordeal two weeks ago in Noble County, the victim, whose name authorities haven’t released, helped uncover an elaborate scheme by at least two men to lure people with the promise of work from across the country to Ohio. Authorities say the real plan was to rob and kill them.

Two suspects were taken into custody Wednesday after an investigation by a bevy of federal, state and county agencies.

The Akron Beacon-Journal reported last night that the suspects are a 16-year-old Stow-Munroe Falls High School student in Ohio and a 52-year-old Akron man. Their names had not been released.

This is a strange story.........

Missing Pregnant Woman
24-year-old Ardelia Coleman or "Dee Dee" as she's know to family and friends, is getting ready to have her first child, a daughter. Her family says they dropped her off at St. Joseph's Hospital Monday morning around 8 to have a caesarian section. That's the last time anyone in her family saw her.

"When I got there they said she wasn't registered. I kept asking what time was the surgery. She wasn't registered in the lobby. We stayed thinking maybe there was a mistake. We called different hospitals. Maybe she got frightened because she was there by herself at that time or maybe had left," comments her foster mother, Barbara Hausley.

Dee-Dee's foster brother, Joshua Hausley, says she was sending text messages until 1 Monday afternoon but since then, it's been silence.

"It's almost as if she, like, vanished," explains Joshua.

He says Dee Dee hasn't been taking her anxiety medication since she's pregnant and now that she's disappeared, the family is starting to question whether or not she made up the pregnancy.

"You don't want to think that Dee Dee is manipulating the situation because she's never done anything like this, ever," says Joshua.

Regardless, her loved ones just want to know that she's safe. They've created a Facebook page hoping to find answers.

"Please just contact us. Definitely, just want to know where she is and that she's okay and it's just very strange and scary," comments Joshua.

"If she's alright to just call and let someone know that she's alright, that she's well. I'm just concerned for her safety. She's 9-months pregnant and I'm just concerned," explains Barbara.

Dee Dee was last seen wearing a shoulder-length black wig and a white tee-shirt that had the word "Atlanta" on it in gold letters with a dark-colored jacket.

If you have any information on her disappearance, call Lexington Police (859) 258-3600.

Damn straight it's strange. People I know don't just get "dropped off" to have their baby.

Sally, did you get dropped off to have your baby?

I know, not one person I know ever went in to have a c-section by themselves..... especially if someone who takes anxiety meds have been off them due to the pregnancy, that is MAJOR surgery!!

Now they are wondering if she made up the story about being pregnant? She looks to me as if she is in the pics, but she also looks like she is drinking in one and smoking in another.. who knows.

Maybe she was scared to have surgery and is in hiding somewhere by herself, maybe in labor with no help.....

There is almost no coverage of this story either

Orlando woman missing the day TV court show with her and ex-boyfriend aired

An Orlando woman who police say has a violent history with an ex-boyfriend went missing on Thursday — the same day a television court show aired featuring her and a former flame.

Michelle Parker, 33, was last seen about 4 p.m. Thursday. She drives a black Hummer with the license plate AWG M26, police said.

Friends said about 2 p.m. they were gathering at Jessie Black Saloon on Oak Ridge Road in Orlando to pass out flyers and raise awareness about her disappearance.

According to a friend, she last sent a text message to her brother about 4:26 p.m. Thursday to indicate that she was in the Waterford Lakes area.

Her SUV, the friend said, had the words "Glow Mobil Airbrush Tanning" on its side windows.

Parker has a violent history with a former boyfriend, according to police and court documents, which indicate the pair went through a custody battle in 2009 over their now 3-year-old twins.

Parker filed a request for domestic-violence injunction against the man later that year. In it, she accused him of a tirade in front of their children, then 15 months old.

She wrote the man cursed and threatened her while holding one of their twins. He also broke the passenger window of her truck, she said, and threw a pair of child car seats at the vehicle.

Parker is described as a 5-foot, 6-inch white woman with short dark brown hair. The friend said the mother of three was last seen wearing blue jeans with a long-sleeved Florida Gators zip-up hooded sweatshirt.

Friends started a Facebook community to provide information about efforts to get the word out about Parker, and within hours, more than 350 people were following the page.

The day she went missing, an episode of "The People's Court" aired, featuring Parker and an ex-boyfriend.

A description of the episode on the show's website provides the following description: "A rollercoaster romance derails!"

In a preview of the episode online, Parker says the man "grabbed me and yanked me around" during a relationship he says lasted for years.

"He's crying, I'm crying, he's sorry, I'm sorry," she tells the judge in the episode preview. "We brushed it under the rug, and I stayed with him for a few more months."

At the end of the video, Judge Marilyn Milian tells the couple they are "like drugs to each other."

"You're addicted to each other," Milian says.
