Who knew? Hahaha! Forget about lingerie -- if you want to entice your man, all you need could be sitting on your dinner table. According to a new study, besides satisfying their sweet tooth, the smell of pumpkin pie really turns men on. "The number one odor that enhanced penile blood flow was a combination of lavender and pumpkin pie," Alan Hirsch, Director of Chicago's Smell and Taste Treatment Research Center, told WPBF in West Palm Beach, Fla. Hirsch tested 40 aromas with the men, but it seems that the smell of pumpkin pie "increased the men's penile blood flow by an average of 40 percent" by reducing anxiety, and thus eliminating inhibitions. But it goes beyond the pumpkin scent. The seeds themselves are great for men's sexual health and are even recommended if guys have issues with their little friend. Vanilla and strawberry were two other scents that received high responses, but then again, as Hirsch pointed out, "Every odor we tested aroused the participants." So instead of spraying your favorite perfume in all your hot spots this holiday season, consider just spending the day baking (or warming up) that pumpkin pie. It'll give you more to be thankful about. Better yet: Here's a pumpkin pie recipe that combines our other favorite inhibition-buster: booze!
