I have decided that if I get pissed at my wife I won't hit her ,I will hit someone else that way it's simple battery and I won't lose my right to own guns.

Maybe, just maybe, you could look at this and say "hmmmm, the gang member should get more time" and not look at it and say "I'm justified in hitting my wife and not losing my gun priviliges because a gang banger can hit me and get out of jail quickly".

even if he got more time it's still simple battery as long as you are walking and talking when they take the report.

He still does not lose his right to keep and bear arms, but if you grab your wife's arm and it bruises, or if you push her back and she gets a bruise that is visible to the officer, you go to jail, are charged with domestic violence and you lose your right to keep and bear arms.

Control is what you make of it, some could argue that a man should have his house in order, or that a women shouldn't be a married slutty pig, or that his kids should be respectful, at what point does society demand those things of a man? Is a temper a bad thing? and should a temper that didn't use a firearm be judged as harshly as one that did? Should a woman lose her rights when it's mutual combat (which it very often is) and does a pissed off woman get the same scorn from you that a pissed off man does?

Just to clear things up, I have never been in jail, I put others in jail, I have broken up fights between a husband and a wife and while handcuffing that violent fucked up man have been attacked by the woman who called me to start with, until you fix what's underneath don't try to fix the top of the food chain.

I think there's a reason there's an "assault with a deadly weapon" law. Yes, fists can be deadly weapons but they don't say "death" immediately. On the other hand, shooting or stabbing someone is pretty certain to cause great bodily harm.

I think women who attack anyone should be treated equally under the law.

I think Vick is a dirty pig and would not have stopped dog fighting if he didn't get caught. He is only sorry because he got caught. And to be brought back to the NFL making millions is ridiculous. Not to mention he sucked the other night.

I do believe in second chances depending on the crime. But it also boils down to is the person genuinely remorseful.
