ELMIRA, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities in an upstate city have issued an Amber Alert for a 3-year-old boy who police say has been abducted by an acquaintance of the child's mother. Police in Elmira tell media outlets that Jacob Ryan Rubin Davila was taken from a home around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday by a man named Chris.
Police don't know his last name, but say he's black, approximately 30 years old and about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. Police say he was last seen in a stolen red, four-door Dodge Intrepid with the New York license plate FEV-3631. Officials say Jacob is Hispanic, about 3 feet tall with black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a tan and green jacket, tan cargo pants and white sneakers. Authorities say the man may have ties to the Buffalo area.

The Monroe County Sheriffs Department tells News 8 a 3-year-old boy, who was reported missing last night from Elmira and was the subject of an Amber Alert, has been found safe inside a Henrietta hotel. Four people are now in custody. Investigators say the subjects were taken into custody after tips led investigators to the Microtel Inns & Suites on Lehigh Station Road in Henrietta. Those tips were generated from the Amber Alert which was reported on local media, including WROC and RochesterHomepage.net, as well as area road signs.
Police say-year-old Jacob Ryan Rubin Davila was abducted from South Walnut Street in Elmira around 5:20 last night. The Alert was cancelled at 10:57 a.m. Police believe an acquaintance of the boy's mother kidnapped Ryan. A witness tell us that the group checked into the hotel early this morning.

Authorities say Quentin Singletary, 26, of Rochester, has been turned over to Elmira Police for further questioning. He is being charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Investigators in Elmira say that Singletary, an acquaintance of Jacob’s mother Stephanie Davila, took Jacob in Davila’s car. When Jacob wasn’t returned after several hours, Davila called the police and an Amber Alert was issued.
