i think it's likely the persons parked elsewhere and walked on clean road so as not to have car seen, or even pulled into bare driveway and entered through garage door.
Hi everyone. I have been lurking and finally joined! I have a couple queries.
The first is about the mother of Johnny. Was he supposed to check in with her
daily for some probation reason or personal reason? As a parent, I find it so
weird that a mother of a guy who had been in prison for over a year would be
keeping that close of tabs on a son over 18.
Secondly, does anyone know if Johnny's mother is into drugs and needed to contact him to get some? Totally hypothetical, not sure if Johnny even did drugs.
I am just trying to figure out why she was checking up on him so vigorously.
Do autopsies check for drug use? I am assuming they do.
How in the hell did the police allow the crime scene to be cleaned?
Was the murder just the day before?
i'm not answering from my own knowledge of THIS case, but there are cleaning companies who can be hired specifically for messy/bloody crime scenes. it is a biohazard job. they don't go in until police release the scene.

i did see it was the reason they were on a cruise.
I was curious as to if it had been printed in a local newspaper before the event... an announcement of the anniversary...(as in the birth and obit section). Our local paper has these types of announcements in the sunday paper. A couple celebrating a 25th or 50th wedding anniversary.. etc... some go into lengthy detail.. Too much personal information about these celebrations given out to the public is not always a wise choice.
So they were quite possibly surprised by someone at the garage/kitchen door .. I cannot understand why there were not any signs of a struggle.. I would be getting loud and crazy .. dna under my fingernails... throwing something thru the window..making alot of noise to attract attention... especially if all they had was plastic bags and duct tape. and muscles.. I wonder if there was a stun gun involved..It seems as if they must have been overpowered very quickly. Unless there were more then 2 attackers. I would still fight tooth and nail... but that's just me.
These people were murdered sometime Sunday night (30th) to Monday morning (31st) and the house was cleaned on Tuesday (1st). I just don't see any way that a proper forensic investigation could be done that quickly. LC, am I wrong on this?

i know this thread is like reading 'War and Peace' (you should see the Petit and Zahra threads!) but a lot of this has been discussed. i firmly believe there was a LOT of DNA at that scene. from prints on duct tape to blood. some may have been killers' blood.

These were my thoughts exactly when i read the house was "cleaned", curious as to what the cleaning consisted of because I am pretty sure i remembered reading that the house was "dusted for prints".

it IS pretty damn fast. but maybe police got what they needed, and wanted house pristine for the owners'/parents return. i don't know, i am not the one saying it was done the 1st.
The news on it recently states that it appeared someone was searching for something in the house. Sounds as if they were looking for something in particular, which would indicate knowledge of the familys possessions...Did any of the news mention a Craigslist ad or anything?
