I think it's possible, as the perp came closer to Johnny, he thought he could 'take them on' ... I'm going to say there was no ski mask, now .. Because if they had masks on, it would be more obvious there was trouble coming/panic. For some reason, Johnny wasn't panicked, the first few seconds. Just my thoughts

The key is to the mainframe of the alarm system that is in a locked box in the basement of the straubs home. It was in the package of security documents that was in the kitchen just IMO.

No the actually basement were they keep there pool table. not in the so called basement that JC mom said. In the kitchen it connects to a room where you have to step down into a living room or social room were they keep the couchs and tv.

this is just a rumor 2 i do kno alot of people who know jc personally and i heard that key that says 544 is for i guess a storage unit that held a large quanity of marijuana and alot of people wanted it i just heard this so i thought i would put it out there but this is just a rumor that i heard

I have seen a person in their casket who had a gun shot wound to the head. They tried to make him look normal, it didn't work. If the head is swollen, which would happen if he was beaten, they can't do much for swelling and lacerations.

I keep thinking there was more than one perp, BUT Joseph Duncan subdued an entire family, by himself, up in Idaho, slaughtering all of them, except the two youngest children, which he kidnapped. He did, however, have a gun.

A few more things, once again this is my opinion based on the things I know about this tragedy:

1. Johnny knew the people who did this/were in charge of this

2. There was more than one person

3. They were either looking for a safe or just wanted it to look like they were looking for a safe while punching holes into the closet walls

4. Time tables need further research. To bust in, fight, cause enough blood to be all over the place, strangle Lisa with pants, possibly rape, tape hands and Johnny's ankles, tape bags over their heads, pull out central security documents and examine them, go upstairs and "look around", punching holes into the walls, etc. all this would have taken a little bit of time. Tiffany says she drove over in her friend's mom's car after she tried to call the couple and they wouldn't answer after the phone went dead. She would've saw something or heard someone talking. It would've been very quiet in the middle of the night in that neighborhood on a Sunday.

5. Police will let time lapse to give people the impression that they have given up and let the talking and bragging begin...

this is my opinion...
it has to 100% be someone who knew them... too much of a coincidence the parents were out of town when this happened. i want to know why none of the neighbors saw anything??? and i think personally its irrelevant what he said on the phone when he was talking to tiffany.... regaurdless if he did or didnt say "who r u" they could have easily been wearing ski masks.

Still don't know if I think they knew the perps. I don't doubt Johnny or Lisa told someone her parents were out of town, but it could have been that someone told someone else, & so forth

Uhhh...I was recently at a concert and a young man who had a bit too much to drink was engaging in a fight with another guy he didn't even know- a lot of the context of what was said right before the fight got physical was :
"WTF is your problem BRO?!", etc.- A LOT of "bros" were in there.- In fact, that's why it sticks out to me, I thought the Frat boys' term of "Bro" while he was fighting was used waaaay too much before the fight turned physical.
