I'm trying to give you all a perspective from someone who was born and raised in the same area as Johnny, as I believe this crime was a result of his aquaintances, not Lisa's (of course it could've been somone that they both know, but was mainly his friend).

People in Toledo have a certain mindset for survivial. I'm trying to provide some knowledge and insight as someone in that mindset.

I'll back up ToledoNatives sentiments. I didn't grow up in Toledo but right outside in the suburbs and we didn't go to Toledo unless it was to get drugs or alcohol underage. What's sad is that the South End is one of the better parts of Toledo. Bowsher was considered one of the best high schools (within toledo) from my memory. I can honestly say I would NEVER send my kids to school in Toledo. The education is lacking and the only thing they learn, is how to be a thug. Not to say there weren't thugs living in the suburbs too, but it really is night and day between the two. You really can't understand unless you've lived in the area. It's sad.

While there, I saw a classmate get stabbed, tons of fights, tons of drugs, tons of gangs, a police officer on site at all times, and metal detectors at the doors upon entering. If you set off the walk through metal detector, there was a person waiting to pass the metal detector wand over you. Not my idea of a good school.

But I guess school is what you make of it. Luckily, I made it out of high school alive and with some knowledge.

Just to clarify, it's far from great, but from my knowledge, it was better than say, Libby.

If I had to pick a local school worse than Bowsher, I would probably say Scott.

Ok. This is Off Topic. But I am hoping you won't throw me out for
posting it. After listening to the 911 calls multiple times and reading
the not so numerous news articles and listening to the not fulfilling
television reports, the address that is used for the Straub's home is
Maumee, Ohio, or Sylvania. Now, Maytee on the frantic 911 call says,
"Holland." Well the only place I can find the listing for the address
as Holland is on the property assessment records and sales. Why
would Maytee know that? vizzo.com I think it was.

I still have 15 pages to catch up on, so this may have been addressed already. I'm a "Toledo Native" myself, and I can tell you that area coud conceivably be called Holland or Maumee (the far western part of Maumee) or Springfield Twp. I think most locals would refer to it as Holland though; I know I did when I lived there and worked in the area.

It is Holland, but it is on the Holland/Maumee line. The houses behind it are Maumee. It would be easy to confuse.

A friend gave Maytee the address? I don't know my friend's exact addresses, even if I have been to their houses many times. Did Maytee give the intruders the address, as some of you have suggested that Maytee might have sent someone over there?

Also, someone said, why does it matter where Lisa's car was parked? I do think it is important that we know whether the car was in the garage or parked in the driveway and if the garage door was open or not.

Yes, the garage door is important. If they were using Lisa's car and it was in the driveway when Tiff arrived there, why would she go back to her house to see if they were there? If that makes any sense at all.

Maytee would know that. Everybody around there would know that. I would be wondering how Maytee was so quick with the exact address of Lisa's house. Then on the tapes, you hear Maytee on the phone driving with someone to Lisa's house and she is talking like she has never driven there before, i.e. "I think that's the street right there", etc.

That's one thing I'm not suspicious about. My daughter and her fiance are living with her fiance's parents right now. Their house is about 20 min away and I've been there a few times. I don't know their street # off the top of my head, but their address is in my address book next to the phone. If I ever had to call 911, it would be handy.

Especially driving at night when street signs are harder to see, I don't think it means anything to say "I think that's the street..."

I could be looking into this too much. I'm just curious about if Maytee would have any involvement. It seems that she was involved in some of her own "activities" but I can't imagine her sending someone over to Lisa's. She and Johnny were very close. He had her name tattooed on his arm. Maybe Maytee had the address written down "just incase". I really don't think she was ever at the house before, though.

Just a side note...I have seen people similar to Johnny in Toledo who grew up and changed their life around. Johnny had a good heart. He was not some evil drug dealer. I want to see the killers arrested and punished. I am confident that it will happen. People in Toledo talk ALOT. There is nothing better to do and bragging about something like this will get you a great deal of respect in Toledo.

And, yes, leaving Toledo was the best thing I could do, especially to give my kid a good life.

Was it easy to leave? No.

Was it worth it? Yes.

I like the sweet, subtle mommy dearest type touches: The bags of drugs by her tattooed feet, Her hubby's gun photo where she professes her love for him, The self-taken lingerie photo where she's flippin' the bird, the 50+ pics she has of drugs, bright pink and/or purple alcoholic drinks, guns, and thugs VS. the 2 she has of her grandchild......
This may sound harsh, but something like the bubonic plague needs to go through thug circles like this and just wipe 'em out.

I tend to agree. I don't think Maytee is involved but I do think she is holding back on her information of Johnny's personal dealings. If she wants the killers to get caught, she needs to tell everything she knows, even if it shows Johnny in not the best light.

In her Nancy Grace interview, she wasn't even willing to talk about the fact that he has been in trouble with the law before and that could've produced some of his enemies.

If she wants resolution, then be 100% open and honest.

i too do not think she had anything to do with. but i damn sure think johnny was who he was because of his parents life style. and they have to live the rest of their lives with that guilt. hope they change who they are for their other 2 babibois.

i always knew growing up that the toledo public schools were pretty grim but after reading all your posts all i have to say is how thankful i am that my parents chose to send me to one of the catholic schools!!!

That's true, publicly she wouldn't talk about JC's record, and your absolutely correct LE needs to know everything, no matter how big or small when trying resolve a crime like this, and I hope she has at least been honest with LE, and if not, she needs to be pronto!

I hope both parents tell LE everything they know even if it means implicating themselves in any joint dealings with Johnny - I'm thinking about someone's suggestion that Maytee may have been filling percocet prescriptions that Johnny was selling for her, if it turns out to be true. However, these are people who are used to being on the wrong side of the law and it may go against the grain for them to tell LE what they know. I hope they don't opt to find those responsible and dish out justice themselves though, not because the perps who did this don't deserve it because they do, but in case they hurt or target somebody innocent by mistake.
