That local was me and it's possible that it is just a rumor as smiles4u stated they live in the neighborhood and I heard that from my parents, also in the neighborhood. Could just be gossip.

I was afraid that if I did he would attack me as soon as I was out of sight of my daughter, so I picked my daughter up & carried her with me, keeping enough distance between us. She was about 3 at the time. He left but what I realized after is that when I was walking behind him to the front door, my front door was closed & when he got to the front door it was also locked, he had to unlock it to get out. Then walking back to my room I realized that my daughters bedroom door had been opened, when the night before when I went to bed, I closed her door. She had a hamster that drove me nuts at night lol
I truly believe that he came in to rape me. He was a neighbor in the building & he knew I lived alone. I think he didn't expect my daughter to be there or be in the same room with me.

I think he's too busy with his car that is taller than him almost with big chrome wheels - he has a lot of money invested in those wheels and I cannot imagine him doing anything to anybody - he's as skinny as a stick! She stated that the police have looked at/examined her phone records (verifying that her record of conversations was correct) but did not need to confiscate her phone to do so.
She indicated that the police have interviewed at least three people. Herself, her boyfriend and an unnamed party, known as the minor.
She stated that she did not feel robbery was the primary motive and that this crime was of a more personal nature. She indicated that she had an idea that no one else was expected at the Straub home that evening. And, she feels a person who was involved in a robbery with JC years back could be a prime suspect.
She said that JC said he was planning to call her back after responding to someone saying essentially what are you doing here, who are you. She stated this is why she did not contact police immediately.
She indicated that she could not hear Lisa or the mystery man who was in the home at the time in question.
She stated that she did not see inside the home, or claim it was ransacked, at any time.

I don't know where the above original quote is on this thread. It is from "netsleuth" and he/she is no longer posting on this forum. I think there should be a correction. Above it states that she did not see inside the home but, I believe she stated on this forum that she looked in the side windows of the front door and saw a closet open at the top of the stairs. I think she said that Maytee may have embellished that comment and turned it into "ransacked".
Its in the 230's...and he was recapping what she had said that far...she logged in again after this post and clarified more. I hadnt read her posts yet, and am not done either, but thought it was interesting enough to repost. thought maybe someone might see something in that they overlooked before...

For less than 100 bucks you can get a minimal alarm system with motion detector downstairs so you can sleep in safety. This intruder would have never made it upstairs without you knowing to have your gun out. And if he appeared you could shoot him dead and in some states with a NO RETREAT LAW you can shoot him dead even if he turns around and is running away. That way by entering your home he would be digging his own grave and you have every right to put him in it.
