Seems our law enforcement is like the rest of us. Overwhelmed by the proliferation of crime and not enough resources or energy to do the most thorough job they otherwise could. Maybe they do know whodunnit. Maybe they don't but don't care b/c they know it's drug-related and futile to connect the dots. Take one thug off the streets, 10 more waiting to take his/her place. From the comments at the board meeting, seems like an attitude of "they asked for it", sort of like many rape cases.

But now you are making an outrageous generalization. I have contended from the beginning that this is a small-time operation run by the Sheriff, and that it would be so much better if the Detective Bureau of the City of Toledo Police Department was involved instead. We have an excellent Bureau there, including a great dedicated cold case division.
Although I personally have never worked for government, I have over the years encountered many hard-working dedicated public servants, such as those in the police, fire and teaching professions, and I don't buy this garbage about "feeding at the public trough."
How about those who "feed at the private trough" drawing down outrageous incomes for minimal, incompetent work? In fact, aren't they also feeding at the same place, since their outrageous incomes in private industry are being paid on the backs of the consumer's cost of living when buying industry's products?
Don't generalize. Most people in the police, fire and teaching professions have as much or more training, education and experience as those in private industry, if not more.

I'm happy to, because things seem to have gotten very lame here lately...pages and pages spent discussing candles, font colors, voodoo. Unfortunately I don't have any new info to add at the moment, but I'm hoping to soon. I'll be spending time with my reliable source tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have something new to add.
