As it is, there has to be some DNA of the perps somewhere. But a housefire would have destroyed all the perps DNA.
The perps might have been so intent on finding what they came for and torturing/punishing Johnny & Lisa that they didn't even think of burning the house down. Well, to be honest, I didn't think about it either until last night and then I was like, BOMBSHELL! What the perfect ending to make this crime perfectly unsolvable. And professionals might have done that, but I don't think these perps were professional or even very smart, though this crime was so vicious that it wouldn't surprise me if they've killed before. I tend to agree that this was a statement of some kind.

IMO a stalker or possessive ex can be ruled out. I can't see that type of person searching vents and punching holes in the bedroom wall looking for something, and a stalker would probably be acting alone in any case, so would not have been able to subdue both victims.
Ah, I had slick forgotten about the vents. Now in all the articles I read last night, there was NO mention of the vents being searched by the perps. So again, how reliable is that information? That right there absolutely screams drugs doesn't it? A lone stalker would not be able to subdue Johnny, agreed.
I think the vents were mentioned by one of Lisa's relatives. If true, I agree that it does scream drugs.
So if it was a professional hit, it almost certainly revolved around drugs. I think everyone here on this thread will agree with that. If it was NOT a professional hit it could have been drugs, robbery, a crime of passion or all three...and a lot of people early on were in agreement that the perp(s) had killed before which would make at least one of them a serial killer...so if it was NOT a professional hit, who do you think the perps have killed before? A friend? A random stranger? Someone in a robbery gone awry?

Good point, Kitty - sad, but true. Another thought that occurred to me earlier is that we don't know what most other mockers look like; for all we know, this girl could be one of us.

The source of the vent info is from me. I am related to the person who went over when crime cleanup was done. It is fact!!!!

So, Kitty Kat, what about the kitchen being a bloody mess? What did you/your person hear about that? Whose blood was the speculation being centered around?

Sheriff updates double death investigation
Monday, March 07, 2011
TOLEDO, OH -- It's been more than a month since two young people were found dead in a home on Longacre Lane in Springfield Twp.
Today, Lucas Co. sheriff James Telb released an update to the investigation.
Officers believe the couple was targeted and that the killings were not random acts of violence. Neither do they believe this was a "professional hit."
Evidence is being examined, as are polygraph results. Anyone with any information should call 419-213-4917 or Crime Stopper at 419-255-1111.
A reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Thanks for posting this but they call this an update? I think the Sheriff's department cut and pasted from this thread.

Kitty,
Did your source mention blood?
The coroner said there were no marks except the neck. Now we
hear it was a bloody crime scene from someone. Should be put
stock in that or not?

My exact thoughts. It does make me wonder though if the news stations are pushing for something....it's not much but I guess it's "something".

Someone who got in their way or crossed them, I'd say.
