From a quick facebook search, she went to springfield hs and attends owens... same schools as lisa. Lisa is not one of her facebook friends though. Kinda strange that her name would be brought up in court. She is fb friends with sarah mettler tho, who was close with lisa, and whose name was alao brought up. Not that i really think it matters because i dont think these ladies has anything to do with all this but i am wondering why the straubs were asked if they ever heard of them before?

I think we all feel sorry for her for the loss of her child and the violent nature of the crime but her complete honesty is what is needed in this trial. Put the guilt and embarrassment aside and TELL THE WHOLE TRUTH.

Exactly. No mother should have to go through losing a child. But if she really wants the murderers to be convicted, she is going to have to honest and screw the dramatics and other nonsense.

Just heard on news that the jail phone call between pettaway/williams will probably be played today

I cannot wait for her to take the stand. This entire time there has been one constant in the back of my mind & that was her attempting to blame Lisa for all of this. She insisted her son was an innocent, that there wasn't one damn thing in his life that could have brought this on. She made it sound like he was pure as the driven snow. To hear that he was living at the Straub's because she had thrown him out of his own home bought me a great deal of satisfaction.

It is Day Two of testimony in the murder trials of the two men charged in the brutal killings of a young couple in Springfield Township a year and a half ago.

Prosecutors say DNA from a cigarette butt found at the crime scene links Samuel Williams and Cameo Pettaway to the deaths of 20-year-old Lisa Straub and her boyfriend 21-year-old Johnny Clarke.

13-ABC's Christine Long is following the Williams capital murder trial.

Tuesday morning the state called to the stand Johnny Clarke's dad, John Clarke, Jr.

The court did not allow 13 ABC to record testimony. WHY THE HELL NOT?? However, John Clarke, Jr. is the person who broke down the door to the Straub family home on Longacre Lane back in January of 2011 and discovered the bodies of his son Johnny and his son's girlfriend Lisa Straub.

The young couple had their hands duct-taped behind their backs and plastic bags over their heads.

Johnny's dad testified he ripped the plastic bags off of both of their heads before police arrived.

John Clarke also testified that he was aware of a threat against his son. He said it was a threat made to Johnny involving Johnny's car. It was a car Johnny sold to a woman named Alexandra Cousino.

Cousino took the stand right after Mr. Clarke and also talked about how she was mad about the sale of the car.

This testimony is where we're seeing the first connection to the defendant Samuel Williams besides the cigarette butt prosecutors mentioned in Opening Statements.

Cousino testified that she is friends with Williams and the other man charged in the Springfield Township murders, Cameo Pettaway.

I thought it was interesting that Maytee kicked Johnny out of her house. How bad do you have to be for that to happen? She always forgets to mention that part.

I'm sure the Straubs were trying to be nice letting him live at their house. No good deed...

After reading through Mustang's report, the main thing I can't get out of my head is, if John Sr hadn't had a warrant and they had gone straight to the house after seeing the police cars, would things be any different? I didn't take the time to look into the times and all that, but what if they were still alive at that time???? And it's funny to me that this was never mentioned before,unless I'm forgetting.
