Is the pimp hat coming back and I didn't know it?
that was just some random avatar I was peer-pressured into making earlier today. no aspect of it holds any meaning whatsoever. its only truth lies in its randomness.

What do you people in Ohio have that's good to eat? Don't say buckeye candy because that's just dumb. You can't really claim Dutch or German foods because other places already took those. So what do you have for good regional cuisine? Because if you don't eat good foods, I don't think we will relate very well.

Nah. That was your loss. He's a stand-up guy.
You can't claim to be a grammar aficionado if you don't capitalize. Unless you are e.e. cummings (or have such small hands).

i wouldn't say buckeyes because all they really are is a reese's cup in a different shape.
cracker, you're absolutely spot-on in that we don't have any sort of regional cuisine that is anything to speak of.
in all honesty I loathe living here and I've spent less of my total years in ohio than i have in other areas and countries. I actually just moved back from Canada about three months ago, I'm here temporarily for about two more months and then moving to LA in april.
so regionally, ohio has shit. me personally, I'm quite a cook. but other people's foods, not regionally "ohio" fare. my own personal faves of my own creation would be my chicken enchiladas (100% from scratch, even the sauce), my chili, mushroom duxelles, and my tiramisu.

We might get along. I make green mole or use the tomatillo salsa verde (sadly, I don't make that myself, too many ingredients) with my chicken enchiladas suizas and make kick ass chili. I had to look up the mushroom duxelles (sounds heavenly on crostini). I make beef stroganof with the same mix of mushrooms and shallot. Damn, now I'm hungry.
The Canadians I know are all anal. And if you must now, we use the term "Canadians" to refer to people of color around here. hahaha

Hahahahahahaha
I meant in Georgia. You can't let the "N" word fly around here. I honestly have some very good black friends who are NOT Canadians, but damn, some folks are.

If you make the duxelle, don't waste time and effort making crostini...just buy phyllo cups, drop a dollop of duzelle into one, sprinkle with a little freshly grated parm, then pop them into the oven until the cheese melts.
the beauty of duxelle is you can make one huge batch at the beginning of the holiday season, then you're good for all the parties. just buy more phyllo cups and cheese, the duxelle freezes like a champ.
my chili recipe starts with "cube 5lbs round steak into 1 to 1-1/2 inch cubes. flash saute on high heat in iron skillet with only salt and black pepper, no oil..."
and my enchiladas, "boil two whole chickens in large stock pot. reduce remaining broth to use as base for sauce..."

One last question, pink, before I get to cooking:
Do you like Poirot?
(every time I see "-pink", I think of female genitalia. i'm not sure if that is your intent. just thought i'd throw it out there.)

if he's a stand-up guy, then he won't really be gone. i'm told that around here it is encouraged to be a dick at times just for the sake of doing so.
as far as capitalization goes, one has the capability to reach certain levels of grammar stewardship that allow for such poetic license with no capitalization rules at whatsoever. i feel i have reached such levels, and if there is ever a large audience that feels otherwise, i'll be more than happy to adhere to 110% strict grammar and spelling in all facets of writing for a specified trial period in order to prove my knowledge thereof.
until then, you might just have to be satisfied with the occasional capitalization of certain proper nouns or articles.

i must admit i've not enough exposure to Poirot to have formed an opin either way.
and personally, the word "pink" has never really made me think specifically of female genitalia. maybe in a Hustler sort of way, but those are airbrushed and it's all glycerine anyhow. secondly, since there's an entire rainbow of pussy available for feasting, why limit oneself to only "pink"?
in my case, the name "pink" comes from a dear friend from Seattle who gave me the nickname as a shortened version of pinkyfloyd. it also serves as a bit of a double meaning since she's a breast cancer survivor. i miss anna.

personally i'm not too disappointed to be the source of a woman's thoughts of pussy. it's a little kinky in a kinky sort of way, and who doesn't mind a little kink now and again?
